'My Birth My Voice' is not only a multi media exhibition but also a space for people to connect with birth stories and the voices of many mothers and birthing people.

When - September 26th and 27th from 10-4pm each day, with an opening ceremony on the Saturday morning at 10 with guest speakers.
Where - Assembly Rooms, High Street, Glastonbury, BA6 9DU.

It is an invitation to collectively immerse in a birth honouring experience - where the focus is on cultivating a better, healthier birth culture for all.

Beautiful art and spoken word from the Birth Stories project's workshops will be a key part of the event as will different curated spaces that have a strong connection to birth and mothers, including a post natal/partum installation.

We are deeply inspired to be curating this event and will be sharing planning updates with you on here and on the event page over the coming weeks. Together with ways for you to be involved if you would like to be part of the event.

We are out and about this weekend and would love to see you 🌿

This sunday we will have a stall at Glastonbury Pride, held by the wonderful Joy Horner - Wise Woman on the Hill Come and find us, say hello and find out more about what we are building at the Sacred Birth Centre

We will also be at the Peaceful World Festival (held by none other than Mobius Loop) this weekend, we will be giving a talk on Saturday on Honouring Birth as a Sacred Rite of Passage, sharing how the Sacred Birth Centre came to be and how we are working to change birth culture and support families across our local community.

We are also very excited to be at the Avalon Family Gathering, held by our closest community Mamma Village Avalon and Roots and Wings we will be holding space and being part of the New Earth ceremony. A gentle comunal rejoicing for us all 🙌🏼

The Sacred Birth Centre is raising funds post flood as our doors are shut until some vital repair work is done. While the flood felt cosmic and clearing, it also created a lot of damage that is taking weeks to repair. It does feel like a rebirth and at this time the Sacred Birth Centre is reaching out for support.

Mamma Village is also calling in some magical extra funding to tide us over until a potential new grant so we can continue to hold pre- and postnatal care services, family events, and workshops.

I’ve been a part of a beautiful journey seeing the Sacred Birth Centre grow from a seed to a thriving hub holding our Mamma Village events, support, ceremonies, and treatments.

I’m holding this crystal bowl sound bath in the prayer that we can pool together some funding for these two intertwined organizations holding spaces for parents-to-be and families.100% of the donations will go directly to The Sacred Birth Centre and Mamma Village.

✨Arrive from 7:30 for 8PM start

😌Feel free to bring a sheepskin, yoga mat, pillow, or blanket for extra comfort. There are some sheepskins and cushions there. This one is a baby and child free event.

🌀We will have our bath for 45 minutes with some time afterward for sharing for anyone who would like to.

The final art workshop for the Birth Stories project took place at Harmony Within Studio in Shepton Mallet last Saturday. A refreshing sanctuary where incredible stories and creativity were shared. Thank you to The Art of Sarah Slaughter and Samsara Tanner for holding this space so beautifully once again.
