🚶 Leg 2: Complete! ✅
🚴🚶🚶 Challenge: Complete! ✅ ✅ ✅

What a few days this has been - we have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received. Whether it has been donations received, staff getting involved in the walks and cycle, onlookers giving us waves and encouragement and the mountain of messages of good wishes we have received.

First and foremost, over £2,000 raised - thank you to everyone who has donated. It was such a motivation before, during and after the events. Your contributions make a huge difference to two hugely worthy charities, doing amazing work in the South West.

Secondly, I think we have celebrated 80 years of this company in amazing style. We had a lovely gathering of staff and local community members with whom we work this afternoon and feel we did the anniversary justice.

Finally, today's final challenge was a long walk, but a rewarding one. From our origins to our future.

Thank you for following us on this journey. Here's to the next 80 years!

🚶 Leg 3: 28 High Street, Butleigh to Willowfields, Glastonbury

Challenge 3 of 3 is underway, and what a lovely day for it!

An early start for us all, but we really looking forward to this one. Heading from our first ever office to our new headquarters, through picturesque scenery and tranquil villages. Waiting for us at the end is a company gathering celebrating the end of our challenges and 80 years of Forsey and Son.

We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the donations, but there is still time to donate and it would just be fantastic to get to £2,000 - we have £125 to go!

🚶 Leg 2: Complete! ✅

An absolutely stunning walk through the Somerset countryside and woodlands, the sun was shining for us and a lovely welcome back to Butleigh for us, with bacon rolls and lots of cups of tea.

Thank you to Helen Forsey for the sustenance at the end.

What was most encouraging was the amount of donations that came through whilst we were walking - they really helped spur us on. A big thank you to everyone who donated today and also, who has already donated.

We have one leg left tomorrow morning - an 8 mile jaunt from Butleigh to Glastonbury, where we will celebrate the end of our challenge, the money we have raised and 80 years of Forsey and Son.

🚶 Leg 2: Pound Pool, Somerton to 28 High Street, Butleigh

The second leg is officially underway!

A few sore muscles following yesterday's cycle, but another great day for it and the promise of bacon rolls at the end is motivating us! Further, the thought of everyone who has so generously donated is spurring us on even more.

🚴 Leg 1: Complete! ✅

The final hill into Somerton was a challenge, but we made it all in one piece! And also, we just beat the downpour!! 🌧️

Thanks to Lievito bakery for the halfway fuel stop. Also thanks to Tony's Fish & Chip Shop for the post-cycle sustenance!

🚴 Leg 1: Ashdene, Doulting (Trotman) to Pound Pool, Somerton (Forsey and Son)

And we're off!

A beautifully cool day to kick off our Cycle and Stroll event, raising money for two amazing charities Children's Hospice South West and Dorothy House Hospice Care , and celebrating 80 years of Forsey and Son.
