Rachel Jesien is a Seeress, Celtic Shamanic Priestess, Ordained Minister and Yogini dedicated to the healing of the Earth and all of Her inhabitants. Her spiritual transformation began with a 45 degree scoliotic curvature of her spine, which left her with a broken dance career and paralyzed with pain. Her suffering became a catalyst for transformation as she began studying the physical body in dep

th, and became an expert in the world of Yoga for Backcare & Scoliosis. As her physical body became more aligned, her psychic abilities opened up exponentially; a gift that had been long suppressed since childhood. She began studying Shamanism with Yukiko Amaya, long time apprentice of Don Miguel Ruiz, and was called in vision to visit Sacred sites across South America, Australia and Europe. In 2017, Rachel began her Priestess of Goddess training in the Glastonbury Goddess spiralage. Rachel has since been guided to steward a piece of land in the Hudson River Valley, where she leads retreats, women's circles, and healing seminars each year. Her vision for reconnecting groups of women to the cycles of the moon and heartbeat of the Earth is of utmost importance. She now guides a global community in aligning body, mind and soul through spiritual mentoring and leading Goddess Centered healing ceremonies in the Avalonian tradition. As we move toward the quieter seasons, we are creating a cozy space to land, listen, and quiet the chaos so our Souls can speak.

From time immemorial, women have gathered when the Moon went dark.

This Thursday, we gather again. 🌑

Around flame and water, women have shared stories, prayers and silence. They have listened for the wisdom that becomes audible only when the world grows quiet.

The dark is not a place to fear.

It is fertile ground, ripe for creation.
For dreaming.
For tending what is quietly stirring beneath the surface.

When we create this space for listening, we allow our Soul to speak.

Together, we will share bowls of old-growth tea from Global Tea Hut, allowing the warmth and stillness of the ceremony to guide us inward.

We will release what has grown heavy.
Make space for what is emerging.
And remember who we are in the presence of community.

What will you carry into the dark?

As we emerge from a powerful and often soul-churning eclipse season, the New Moon in Virgo calls us to clear the way for what comes next.

This is a time to purify. To release the physical and psychic clutter we have accumulated. To discern what is truly ours to carry forward.

Within the Avalon tradition, we honor this seasonal turning as Mabon, a time of balance. At the threshold of the Equinox, we call upon Banbha, Great Earth Mother, to anchor us as we prepare to follow Her descent into the darker half of the year.

What truth has been quietly asking for your attention?

What are you willing to lay down before crossing this threshold?

And what is sacred enough to carry with you into the dark?

Gather with us beneath the New Moon for an cozy evening of Tea Ceremony, a clarifying ritual and community.

Together, we will enter the stillness of the dark Moon, listen to what is moving beneath the surface and allow the wisdom of the Tea and circle to guide us.

This is a space to be witnessed. To remember who you are. To meet the season ahead with your roots deeply tethered to your inner knowing.

Some of the most life changing moments happen without witnesses.

We return to work.

Make dinner.

Answer messages.

Care for everyone else.

But we are not as we were.

Ceremony gives us a way to pause at the threshold. To make visible what has changed within us and acknowledge the person we are becoming.

It does not have to be elaborate.

A candle can be lit.

Hands can be washed in herbs.

Tea can be poured.

Something can be spoken, buried, blessed or released into the fire.

Research suggests that ritual can ease grief by restoring a sense of agency when life feels beyond our control. Collective ritual can also bring our bodies into rhythm with one another, deepening our experience of connection.

For me, ceremony reaches beyond psychology. It invites the ancestor spirits to stand behind us as we cross into a new chapter of our becoming.

On September 10, we will gather around ceremonial Tea for a New Moon Women’s Circle Devotion Studio in Croton on Hudson.

Together, we will pause at the threshold, listen for what is changing within us and make space for the person we are becoming.

Thursday, September 10
6:30 to 8:30 PM
Devotion Studio , Croton on Hudson

Registration is available through the link in my bio.

What passage in your life deserved to be witnessed more fully?

If someone you love is standing at a threshold, share this with them as a way of saying: I see who you are becoming.

In the whirlwind of motherhood, it is easy to fall into the habit of feeding everyone else first, eating leftover toddler food and placing our own nourishment last.

This infusion is one small way I return nourishment to my own hands.

My blend:

2 parts nettle
2 parts red raspberry leaf
1 part spearmint
1 part hibiscus

For one 24 oz infusion, I add 6 tablespoons of the herbal blend to 24 oz of hot water.

Steep for 10 to 15 minutes, or leave it overnight for a stronger infusion. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Mine is from Sun and Rain Organics (thanks Danielle I’ve been using this thing every day!!), and I press the herbs to gather every last drop.

I drink one to three cups throughout the day, refrigerate the remaining infusion and add warm water when I am ready for another cup.

I chose nettle for its naturally occurring minerals, including iron. Hibiscus contains vitamin C and plant compounds, and vitamin C supports the absorption of nonheme iron from food. Red raspberry leaf has a long tradition of use as a women’s tonic, while spearmint offers gentle digestive support.

In the mornings, I sit with my infusion and journal. Sometimes it is before the children wake. Sometimes it is alongside them. Sometimes she takes the journal.

The practice changes shape without disappearing.

When I am finished, what remains returns to the Earth. A small offering to the plants that give so much to me through every season of my life and motherhood.

This is my personal herbal routine. Herbs are not one size fits all, especially during pregnancy, nursing or alongside medications. Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner or clinical herbalist about what is appropriate for you.

We have been taught that a yoga practice only counts if we roll out a mat for an uninterrupted hour.

I'm not buying into that.

The real change began when I took my practice home with me.

A class can open the door, but it is in the quiet space, when we return to the wisdom of our own body and breath, that healing takes root.

Even when that space is not especially quiet because you have little ones at home.

A home practice might be three supportive poses before the day begins, a few minutes at the wall while dinner is cooking or one familiar movement when pain arises.

You do not need perfect conditions. You need practices that meet you inside the life you are actually living.

My programs support a wide range of needs, from general back pain, postural concerns and caregiver tension to scoliosis, hyperkyphosis and more complex structural conditions.

In other words, anyone with a spine can benefit from learning how to support it.

My online Backcare, Scoliosis and Hyperkyphosis programs are currently 15% off with code COMEHOME15.

When in your day does your body most often ask for support?

There are many ways to come home to yourself.

For me, the path has often begun with my spine.

Learning to work with my scoliosis taught me how to listen more deeply to my body—but over time, that listening opened into something much larger: a deeper relationship with myself, with the earth, with spirit, and with the rhythms that guide us.

This Fall, I’m offering several ways to practice together:

✦ Online Backcare, Scoliosis + Hyperkyphosis programs — 15% off with code COMEHOME15

✦ Private Yoga Therapy + Private Tea Ceremonies — $50 off for a limited time this Fall

✦ New Moon in Virgo Tea Ceremony + Women’s Circle — September 10 in Croton-on-Hudson

✦ Backcare + Scoliosis Series — October 3, 10 + 24 in Peekskill

The entry point may be different for each of us, but beneath all of these practices is the same invitation:

to come into greater alignment with body, earth + spirit.

Come home to yourself this Fall. ✨
