Morning everyone 💖

I'm feeling much more refreshed after my day off yesterday — it was definitely needed!

After nearly being taken out by a lorry on Haydock roundabout, having a little rant to myself driving down the East Lancs, I've now arrived safely at The Unwinding Sanctuary 🙈😂

Today I've got a lovely day ahead with Reiki and a Stillness Ritual, which feels like the perfect way to spend the day after a bit of chaos this morning!

✨ A Little Check-In From Newcastle ✨

I’ve arrived in Newcastle and I’m all settled into my Airbnb for the night. 🏡💜

After the drive up, I’ve got my pyjamas on, I’m curled up on the sofa, and I’m enjoying a rare quiet evening to myself. 🫶🏻

Tomorrow is my Fibroblast Plasma training and I’m honestly so excited! ✨ I’ve been looking forward to this for a while and can’t wait to learn something new that I can bring back to The Unwinding Sanctuary.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of work, so being here tonight has made me stop and think about how far things have come. I’ve learned so much already this year, and I’m really proud to be continuing to grow my skills and invest in my future.

For now though, it’s a cosy night in, a bit of TV, and an early night before a full day of learning tomorrow. 💜

One thing many people don’t realise is that your first wax after shaving is rarely perfect.

When you’ve been shaving, your hairs are all growing at different stages of the hair cycle. Some hairs may be long enough to wax, while others may be too short, just emerging, or growing beneath the surface. This means it’s common for some hairs to remain visible after a first treatment.

Regular waxing helps to synchronise the hair growth cycle over time, leading to smoother, longer-lasting results and more even regrowth.

It’s also important to remember that waxing is a hair reduction treatment, not a permanent hair removal treatment, and 100% removal cannot always be guaranteed, especially on a first appointment after shaving.

The best results come with consistency, patience and regular appointments. 💜

Today is my day off, and for once I'm actually going to try and spend it relaxing... with a little bit of housework thrown in because let's be honest, it never stops! 🤣💜

Meanwhile, Katie is on her way to her Plasma Fibroblast training today and tomorrow, and we're both so excited to bring another treatment to The Unwinding Sanctuary very soon. ✨

Just a little reminder that we still have some appointments available this week, but Katie will only be working Friday and Saturday due to her training, so if you've been thinking about booking in for brows, lashes, nails, waxing or one of her facials, now is the perfect time to grab a space. 💫

💜 A Little Change of Plans 💜

Ladies, I'm going to be postponing tonight's Women's Circle.

If I'm honest, the last few weeks have been incredibly busy and while I'm so grateful for every client, treatment, event and opportunity, I'm feeling a little depleted and in need of some rest myself.

One thing I always say is that we can't pour from an empty cup, and I never want to hold a circle unless I can show up fully present, grounded and able to give you the space you deserve.

Everyone who is booked will be offered a place at the next circle, or a refund if preferred.

Thank you for always being so understanding and supportive. Sometimes we all need a reminder to slow down, listen to our bodies and honour what we need 💜
