My favourite instruments that I use during sound therapy classes are the Koshi chimes. There are 4 of these relating to the 4 elements of earth, air, water and fire. Each giving different tuning.

Koshi chimes are highly crafted acoustic instruments known for their clear, crystalline tones and rich overtones. They are primarily used to soothe the nervous system, reduce stress, and deepen mindfulness. Whether used by hand or hung in a gentle breeze, they provide several distinct benefits:

My answer is always the same: I genuinely love teaching them all.

Each discipline offers something unique. Hatha Yoga builds strength, balance, and awareness. Yin Yoga encourages stillness, patience, and deep release. Pilates develops core strength, stability, and confidence in movement. Sound Therapy creates space for relaxation, restoration, and connection.

The beauty is that they all support wellbeing in different ways, and every class brings its own rewards. Seeing students grow, feel stronger, move more freely, or simply find a moment of peace is what makes teaching so fulfilling.

So if I had to choose a favourite, I couldn’t. Each practice has its own benefits, its own magic, and I feel fortunate to share them all. ✨

Not yoga or Pilates related at all - but here’s a quick hack for longer lasting ice cubes 🧊 for those hot summer days ☀️.

Easily accessible, use a biscuit or cupcake throw away tray. They make huge ice cubes, you can toss into a zip lock bag to use when needed.

They take more time to melt - keeping your drinks chilled for longer🍸

🍆 Aubergine & Tomato Delight 🍅

Looking for a healthy, flavour-packed side dish that’s simple to make and full of Mediterranean goodness?

✨ Aubergine & Tomato Delight ✨

Ingredients:
🍆 1 large aubergine, diced
🍅 1 can chopped tomatoes
🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced
🫒 1 tbsp olive oil
🍬 1 tbsp brown sugar
🧂 Splash Worcestershire sauce
🐟 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
🌿 Handful of fresh basil or parsley
🧂 Salt and black pepper to taste
🌿 Optional herbs to season

Method:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan.
2. Add the aubergine and cook until golden and tender.
3. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
4. Add the tomatoes, seasoning, and herbs if using.
5. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until the tomatoes soften into a rich sauce.
6. Finish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

💚 Rich in fibre, antioxidants, and plant-based goodness.
😋 Delicious alongside grilled fish, chicken, tofu, or enjoyed with warm crusty bread.

Sometimes the most effective exercises are also the simplest.

Tree Balance (Tree Pose) is a perfect example. Standing on one leg while grounding through the foot and engaging the core may look easy, but it delivers incredible benefits for both body and mind.
