🩷 Free Dementia Support Clinics 🩷

Dementia UK, in partnership with Nationwide Fairer Futures, is offering free, confidential appointments with specialist Admiral Nurses to support anyone affected by dementia.

This will be happening in the Nationwide Leven branch on August 12th and there is still appointments left.

You don’t need to be a Nationwide customer – everyone is welcome. If you or someone you know could benefit from expert advice and support, this is a great opportunity.

Who is Home Instead East Fife?
We are a local private care company that provides personal care, companionship, home help, dementia care, live in care and respite care. We provide the same care professional at the same time and days each week with a minimum one hour visit to help provide continuity and build relationships with clients.

What are the shifts???
• Monday to Friday Hours will vary between 8am-5pm. Every third weekend required also
• Overnight shifts are 10pm-8am
• Evening shifts start from 5pm
• Weekend shifts also available

We cover St Andrews, East Neuk, Levenmouth, Cupar, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy, however primarily along the East Neuk, so a car is preferred

Meet the team Monday is back and today we have the wonderful Deanne!

Deanne has worked In care for 32 years doing various roles. She came to Home Instead East Fife in March of this year.

When asked why Deanne likes being a Home Instead care professional, she told us “I like to be able to support the clients in their own homes and enable them to continue to be as independent as possible. My favourite part about being a care pro is spending time with the clients hearing stories about their lives, past holidays and adventures”

When Deanne decides to take a break from her many jobs, she usually spends times with her two dogs, Toast and Biscuit. They love getting out for a walk and coming out Geocaching with Deanne and her husband!

When we asked Deanne if she has any Interesting or for an unusual fact about herself, her answer was…. “I love cleaning! 🫣”

Deanne we are so glad you joined the East Fife team and we have had nothing but positive feedback about you 💚

We know music has the power to evoke powerful memories and emotions. What’s a song that brings back fond memories for you? 🎶

Maybe it’s a song your mum used to listen to on repeat, or a track that reminds you of a loved one no longer with us. We’d love to know.

Gillian shared with us that whilst this song brings sad emotions for her. it also brings back very happy memories of her mum. It is Amazing Grace played by the Lone Piper.

Sam shared that her father in law loved The High Kings, so whilst she has happy memories of the car journeys listening the High Kings, it also brings sad emotions.
