What a fantastic first day at the Carers Fayre!
Dunnikier Park Golf Club was buzzing today as unpaid carers, families and local organisations came together for a fun-filled day of activities, advice and community spirit. From live music and tasty BBQ treats to information stalls, children's activities and some very popular alpacas, there really was something for everyone!
A special mention goes to one of our four-legged visitors who seemed to develop quite a taste for Irn-Bru... although we think water might be the healthier option!
There's still plenty of time to join in. Back again tomorrow.
If you're an unpaid carer, care for a family member or friend, come along and say hello. We'd love to see you there!

We know that people with learning disabilities can sometimes face challenges when accessing health screening appointments.

We want to hear from people with a learning disability, their families, carers and support staff about their experiences.

Your feedback will help us:
• Understand the barriers people face
• Identify what support makes a difference
• Improve information and communication
• Make screening services more accessible and inclusive across Fife

Please take some time to complete our survey and share your experiences: https://brnw.ch/21x4uFu

Thank you for sharing your views.

A little wind wasn't enough to spoil the fun!
Unpaid carers enjoyed a well-deserved break at Dunnikier Golf Park, taking part in a game of park golf followed by lunch together. It was a chance to step away from their caring responsibilities, relax, connect with others and enjoy some time for themselves.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable day!

The process to appoint new contractors to run Valleyfield Medical Practice and The Links Medical Practice has begun after the current provider gave notice that it will end its contract on 31 December.

We want to reassure patients that both practices will continue to operate as normal throughout this period. Services will remain available and plans are already in place to ensure there is no interruption to patient care.

A formal process to appoint new contractors will begin in the coming weeks. If new providers are not in place when the current contracts end, NHS Fife and the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership will continue to run the practices until permanent arrangements are agreed.

It is also expected that the staff currently working in both practices will remain in post, helping to provide continuity and support for patients.

Patients will continue to receive updates as the process moves forward, and we are committed to keeping patients, staff, and local communities informed every step of the way.

Fife’s Community Children’s Services have successfully maintained their prestigious UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Gold award, recognising their commitment to supporting infant feeding and helping families build strong early relationships.

The award reflects the dedication of our Health Visiting Teams, Family Nurse Partnership and Breastfeeding Support Service, with local breastfeeding rates continuing to improve.

A huge well done to all the staff who help give babies across Fife the best possible start in life. Some of our staff got the chance to celebrate along with members of the Glenrothes Breastfeeding Group who are celebrating their 25th anniversary.
