We are looking for a Social Care Quality Checking Coordinator
❓To carry out Quality Checks of support services where disabled people or people who face disabling barriers live and talk with people living in these settings to gather information regarding their quality of life and the quality of care and support they have. You will work alongside a Quality Checker with lived experience.
⏲️20 hours per week
💰£16.08 per hour

11th-17th May is Mental Health Awareness Week.

Did you know that Inclusion Gloucestershire run Mental Health Awareness training across the county and nationwide?

This short course builds understanding of depression and anxiety, two common mental health
conditions that affect people today. The training has been co-produced and is co-delivered by experts with lived experience.

Do you have a disability or long term health condition people can't see? Do you feel you have been treated unfairly because people can't see your condition? We are doing research on non-visible disabilities and we want to hear from you.
You will need to attend 4 workshops where you will make a handmade magazine, recording your experiences, known as Zines.
You must have a non-visible disability, be aged 18 or over and live in Gloucestershire to take part.

We've had a great time recently at our hubs. Some highlights include:
- Working with ArtShape to create a big painting while learning about being keeping safe,
- Bowling at Hollywood Bowl,
- Decoupage workshops with Create Well Crafts,
- A trip on Dean Heritage Railway.

We are pleased to say that our Mindfulness and Wellbeing workshops project has been funded for another six months. Over the past 12 months we have delivered workshops to communities minoritised by ethnicity within Gloucestershire on:

- mental health awareness
- local services that can support people with their mental health and wellbeing

- mindfulness skills
