Yesterday, we enjoyed picking some beautiful roses from our garden. 🌹

The roses were in full bloom and smelled absolutely delightful. Our residents couldn't resist admiring them and breathe in their beautiful fragrance. This sparked many lovely conversations, with residents sharing memories of their own gardens, favourite flowers, and the pride they took in tending to them.

A simple activity that brought plenty of smiles and reminiscing. 💐

🍫🧁 A Delicious Day of Baking! 🧁🍫

Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful baking session, making their own chocolate muffins from scratch. There was lots of mixing, measuring, and plenty of smiles along the way as everyone got involved in creating these tasty treats.

This afternoon, we got to enjoy the fruits of our labour, serving the freshly baked chocolate muffins with cream for a special afternoon treat. The muffins were a huge success and were enjoyed by everyone alongside a good chat and great company.

Activities like baking are a fantastic way to encourage creativity, reminiscence, and social interaction while, of course, producing something delicious to share.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team for up to 30 hours per week.

This is a rewarding role where you will help make a real difference to the lives of our residents by planning and delivering meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable activities tailored to their interests and abilities. From arts and crafts, music sessions, and games to community outings and special events, no two days are the same.

The successful candidate will be passionate about promoting wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, and helping residents maintain independence and enjoyment in everyday life. You will need to be organised, compassionate, and confident communicating with residents, families, and colleagues.

Yesterday, we had some very special visitors here at the home as we welcomed Cupcake the pony from Pet a Pony.

Our residents absolutely loved meeting Cupcake, and there were so many smiles, laughs, and lovely memories created throughout the day. Cupcake spent time visiting residents around the home, including room visits for those unable to join the main activities, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Many of our residents enjoyed stroking, chatting to, and spending time with Cupcake, with some sharing fond memories of animals and ponies from years gone by. Animal visits always bring so much joy, comfort, and conversation, and yesterday was no exception.

It was truly heartwarming to see the happiness on everyone’s faces, and Cupcake was so gentle, calm, and well behaved throughout her visit.

A huge thank you to Pet a Pony for bringing Cupcake to visit us and helping create such a special day for our residents. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

What a wonderful day we had celebrating VE Day at Red Court! Residents, staff, and visitors all came together to remember and honour such an important moment in history.

A huge thank you to Sue, who entertained everyone with fantastic singing, creating such a joyful atmosphere. Our staff, as always, went above and beyond, dressing in amazing wartime costumes that truly brought the spirit of the 1940s to life.

We were also treated to a fabulous buffet prepared by Andrew, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. From delicious food to music, laughter, and shared memories, it was a day filled with smiles and community spirit.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special for our residents ❤️
