We are pleased to let you know that our waterbirth and water immersion in labour service has now resumed on The Birth Centre (subject to availability).

Thank you for your patience and understanding while the service was temporarily unavailable. We know this option is important to many families and we're delighted to be able to offer it again.

If you're planning to give birth with us and would like to find out more about using water during labour or having a waterbirth, please speak to your midwife at your next appointment.

On 30 June, Professor Amy Brown of Swansea University will present findings from the first Infant Feeding Survey in England since 2010, along with key implications for policymakers.

This meeting of the APPG on Infant Feeding and Inequalities is a valuable opportunity for MPs to hear evidence that matters to infants, mothers and families in their constituencies.

Please contact your MP and ask them to attend the hybrid event (12:30–14:00) and support action on infant feeding and inequalities.

Self-feeding pillows can be deadly. That’s because the baby can’t push the bottle away, so can choke or suffer aspiration pneumonia.

Your baby needs you with them while they are feeding, so you can react if they start gagging or choking.

Avoid using anything that encourages you to leave your baby alone to feed with a propped-up bottle.

In 2022, an urgent safety alert was issued for baby self-feeding pillows. Yet, self-feeding pillows are still available to buy in some places. And, Office for Product Safety and Standards warned today that new variants of these dangerous products are available online.
