A large number of volunteers were at Clacton Air Show this year, and despite the dismal weather to begin with, the sun soon came out and made the two days enjoyable to be at. Thank you to each and every volunteer!

Our Network Events lead Will was present at a Treatment Centre, and Paramedic Cal was Cycle Team Leader.

Brentwood was buzzing last weekend! Our network team was on hand to support Atletico Trotters FC's two day football tournament, we were there supporting the event, making sure everything ran smoothly, Great football teams, great crowds, and a fantastic community atmosphere — we loved being part of it!

As we celebrate Volunteers Week, we send a massive thank you to everyone who makes our South West Essex Network succeed. From our dedicated leadership team and the volunteers out on duties, to our fantastic youth groups and the team handling unseen planning and organisation behind the scenes, whether that be restocking our kit bags or organising community education - we couldn't do what we do, without you.

Yesterday, volunteers spent time at West Thurrock Academy as part of their Year 4's Emergency Services Day! Children spent the day with SJA, Essex Police and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service learning about basic first aid, emergency response, and the important roles each service plays in helping the community.

Will, Events and Interim Operations Lead said "Seeing the children so engaged and eager to learn life-saving skills was incredibly rewarding"

It's been a busy weekend for our amazing volunteers!

Our network team were out at two events across the area. Network Event Services Lead & Interim Operations Lead Will, along with CFA Sheena and Cadet CFA Lillie, were covering a children’s football tournament, while CFAs Claire and Marion were on hand at Remus Horse Sanctuary helping with their Open Day!
