Today our residents enjoyed a beautiful walk through Great Dunmow, taking in the sights of the town, visiting Doctors Pond and enjoying the peaceful park surroundings. 💚🌳

We strolled around the Gardens of Easton Lodge yesterday, admiring the trees and plants. The aroma of lavender plants greeted us as we entered the Kitchen Walled Garden. Such a lovely place to visit. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers that made us feel so welcome.

We had such a wonderful morning at The Gardens of Easton Lodge yesterday. Such a beautiful place. It brought back so many memories of our residents childhoods. We are so lucky to have flowers and flowers around us.

With lots of grasses, pinecones, tree blossoms, windfall apples, sticks, leaves, feathers, hedge cuttings, logs, all things we thought the insects may like, With help from Cyril, Ronnie and Maisie, Mya made us a fabulous Hotel. The residents loved being involved with Marie's grandchildren, enjoying the activity in the sunshine. One last little thing was needed. Some sweet liquid in the holes of the logs to attract all that may fly or crawl by.. Thank you so much Mia for creating an amazing Bug Hotel...The Redbond Ritz, and don't forget Cyril wants to be your first guest.

We have a theme of 'Bee Green and Grown this month. As bees 🐝 and bugs 🐛 are so vital to our gardens we invited Mya, Ronnie and Maisie to help us make a Bug Hotel.

During the World Cup Football we made our own version of the Walkers Crisp advert that was featured throughout the tournament. I sent our amazing advert to Walkers Crisps. They absolutely loved it and they fell in love with our residents, well who wouldn't! They told us they were sending us something in the post and it arrived today. Margaret, our star actress, done the honours in opening it. Drum roll please 🎶🎺🥁🎺🎵

We had a very special place to visit today. The Peoples Galary at Southend Central Library at The Forum hosting the annual "No Art Without Heart" exhibition by Runwood Homes. The community art showcase celebrates creative works, paintings, and crafts produced by care home residents.
So in one of her wonderful traditional dresses, Tina arrived in style to join in the opening day of this wonderful collection of art that each of our sister homes have been creating for months. Our display being of African Figurines, Bowls and Landscape Pictures created by seven of our very talented ladies which included Tina.
Although you laughed and said 'no', Tina I'm sure you are from Royalty descendants in Nigeria!
Congratulations to you all who put your love and soul into each piece you made. Well done. I know I'm very proud of our collection.
