We’ve taken a lot of calls about the eclipse today and thought we’d share a few thoughts!

As exciting as this rare event is - looking directly at the sun, even for a moment can cause serious and permanent damage to your eyes and vision!

So a few simple things to remember to keep your eyes safe:

🔭 Use only ISO-certified eclipse glasses
🕳️ OR make a simple pinhole projector to view it indirectly
🚫 DON’T look directly at the Sun
😎 DON’T rely on regular sunglasses - even very dark ones or multiple pairs on top of each other!

Stay safe. Look after your eyes. And enjoy the show!

To say we’re proud of Mark would be an understatement!

A lot of you will recognise Mark-he’s been with us here at Hollands for 5 years now and during the last few years he’s worked hard on training to become a fully qualified dispensing optician (alongside getting engaged, moving house, having a baby, and taking on numerous DIY projects-he certainly doesn’t do things by halves!)

We’ve loved supporting him through the journey, and there was never any doubt he’d qualify!

So we’re really happy to share this pic from his graduation day!
