Life has a way of bringing people into our world—and sometimes, just as quietly, letting them go.

Along your mental health journey, you may notice that not everyone is meant to walk beside you forever. Some relationships fade, shift, or end, and that can be deeply painful. But sometimes, that space is necessary. Sometimes, it’s what protects your peace, your growth, and your healing.

And then there are the others.

The ones who don’t try to fix you.
The ones who don’t rush you.
The ones who sit beside you in the dark, holding a lamp until you’re ready to see again.

Those people are your people.

Your journey will have highs and lows—moments of clarity and moments of struggle. But the consistent, compassionate, and steady people… they are the ones who matter. They are the ones who remind you that you’re not alone, even when it feels like you are.

If you’re in a season of letting go or feeling the absence of someone, be gentle with yourself. You are still moving forward. You are still growing. And the right people will meet you along the way. 💜

This morning I got up, put my make up on, straightened my hair, chose an outfit I liked and added a bit of jewellery… and then looked at my day ahead — housework, mum duties, the usual busy life with three boys.

So why did I bother?

Because it makes me feel good. Because I enjoy it. Because I like catching my reflection and thinking, “there she is.” Because I’m learning to love myself in the small, everyday moments.

And that’s the part that really matters.

For me, it might be make up and getting dressed up. For someone else, it might be a cosy hoodie and a fresh face. It might be a quiet cup of tea before the house wakes up, a walk in the fresh air, or five minutes of peace in the car before going inside.

Self-love isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about tuning into what you need and giving yourself permission to have it — without guilt.

As a busy mum, I know how easy it is to put yourself at the bottom of the list. But those little acts of care? They add up. They remind you that you matter too.

Lately, I’ve been finding joy in the simplest things — rebuilding my old CD collection and getting lost in music I loved growing up, picking up my cross stitch again, even just taking a moment to pause and breathe.

If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few gentle ideas:
✨ Put on music that lifts your mood
✨ Step outside for a few minutes of fresh air
✨ Pick up an old hobby you once loved
✨ Take time to rest without feeling guilty
✨ Do something just because you enjoy it

Whatever helps you feel like you again — that’s the right thing.

You deserve to feel good in your own life 💛

The way we speak to ourselves matters more than we often realise.

Negative self-talk isn’t just “a bad habit” — over time, it can chip away at your confidence, your sense of self-worth, and even how you see yourself at your core. It shapes the story you carry about who you are.

But here’s the hopeful part: small changes can make a big difference.

If your mind says, “I look ugly,”
could you gently shift it to, “I like the jumper I’m wearing today”?

It might feel simple — even insignificant — but these small, kinder statements begin to interrupt the cycle. Over time, they can help you build a more compassionate and balanced relationship with yourself.

You don’t have to silence every negative thought overnight.
Just start by softening them.

In my counselling sessions and workshops, we explore practical ways to challenge negative self-talk and create healthier, more supportive inner dialogue.

If this resonates with you, feel free to message me to find out more 🤍

Ever heard the story about holding a glass of water?

It’s not the weight of the glass that matters — it’s how long you hold it.

Anxiety can feel the same.
At first, it might seem manageable… but the longer you carry it without a break, the heavier it becomes. Draining. Overwhelming. All-consuming.

In my anxiety workshops, we gently explore ways to “put the glass down” — even if just for a moment.
To create space, find relief, and build tools that help you carry life a little lighter.

You don’t have to hold it on your own 🤍

✨ A little more about how I can support you ✨

I’ve had quite a few enquiries lately asking what I actually help with, so I thought I’d share a bit more about the range of support I offer 💛

I provide counselling for anyone who may be struggling with things like anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, or general life challenges. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out — sometimes just having a space to talk things through can make all the difference.

I’m also a grief practitioner, so I support people navigating all types of grief and loss. Grief can show up in so many ways, and you don’t have to go through it alone.

All sessions are 1 hour long, and I always recommend booking one session at a time. This allows us to check in together and decide what feels right for you moving forward. I don’t believe in keeping clients longer than they need — this is your journey, and the goal is always to support you in feeling better and more equipped.

Your first session is a gentle “get to know each other” space. It’s really important that you feel comfortable and that we connect — from there, it’s completely your choice whether you’d like to continue.

I also offer a 2-hour anxiety workshop, designed as a one-off session to give you practical tools and techniques to manage anxiety and reduce its impact on your daily life. It’s a great starting point if you’re looking for something focused and practical, with the option to explore things more deeply through counselling if you’d like.

If you’ve been wondering whether I can help with what you’re going through — the answer is, you’re always welcome to reach out and ask 💬

The response to my Anxiety Workshop has been incredible 💛 It’s clear that so many people are struggling with anxiety right now, and I feel truly grateful to be able to support and guide those who are ready to take a step toward feeling more in control.

This is a 2-hour, one-to-one workshop, available both in person and online, so you receive personalised support in a way that suits you.

During our time together, we will:
✨ Explore how anxiety shows up for you personally
✨ Understand why it happens and what your mind and body are doing in this heightened state
✨ Practise grounding techniques to help calm your nervous system
✨ Work through simple, effective exercises to regain control when anxiety builds
✨ Create your own personalised anxiety toolkit to use in everyday life

You’ll also leave with a little bag of supportive tools and goodies to help you continue using these techniques beyond the session 🧠💫

This workshop is ideal for anyone who feels they would benefit from therapeutic support but may not be ready for ongoing 1:1 sessions.

Journaling is one of the simplest but most powerful tools for supporting your mental wellbeing.

Taking time to put your thoughts onto paper can help you slow down, process what you’re feeling, and gain clarity when things feel overwhelming. Writing things out allows you to notice patterns, reflect on experiences, and set small, meaningful goals for yourself.

Self-reflection doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it’s simply giving yourself a few quiet minutes to check in with your thoughts and emotions.

It’s something I personally use when I need to work things out in my own mind. Getting everything down on paper helps me untangle what I’m thinking and feeling so I can see things more clearly.

One practice I find really grounding is writing a list of five small things I’m grateful for each day. On days that feel heavy or difficult, it reminds me that there is still good to be found — even in the smallest moments.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing journal prompts on my stories to help you get started if you’d like to try journaling yourself. Prompts can make it easier to begin when you’re not sure what to write about.

All you need is a few minutes, a pen, and somewhere to let your thoughts land. 🤍

So excited to be able to share something I have been creating…

Feeling anxious but not sure you want therapy?

I meet a lot of people who tell me they don’t necessarily want to sit and talk about everything going on in their lives — but they also don’t want to keep living with that uncomfortable feeling of anxiety.

That’s exactly why I’ve created a new 2-hour Anxiety Toolkit Workshop.

These are one-to-one sessions, designed for people who simply want to understand their anxiety better and learn practical ways to manage it.

During the workshop we will:
• Explore how anxiety shows up for you personally
• Look at why it happens and what your mind and body are doing
• Practice grounding techniques to calm your nervous system
• Work through simple exercises to help you regain control when anxiety builds
• Create your own personal anxiety toolkit you can use in everyday life

You’ll also leave with a little bag of supportive tools and goodies to help you continue using the techniques after the session.

This is a supportive, practical space to learn skills that can help whether your anxiety sits quietly under the surface or shows up as more intense waves of anxiety.

If you’d like to know more or ask about available dates, feel free to message me.

You don’t have to just “live with” anxiety. 💛

Today I watched a documentary about the formation of the Earth and the origins of life. What struck me most was this: our planet was shaped by chaos. Fire, violent storms, crashing oceans, shifting land. What looked like destruction was actually creation in progress.

The storm was never the enemy. The storm is the reason we are here.

Over millions of years, those turbulent forces created the exact conditions needed for life to begin and thrive. It made me think about our own lives and our mental health.

We all go through storms. Seasons of uncertainty, grief, pressure, anxiety, and change. In the moment they can feel overwhelming, like everything is breaking apart. But often those very moments are shaping us in ways we can’t yet see.

Storms teach resilience.Storms reveal strength.Storms force growth.

Just like the Earth, we are often being formed in the middle of chaos.

Every storm we survive changes the landscape of who we are. Sometimes it softens us. Sometimes it strengthens us. Sometimes it opens space for something new to grow.

The storm is not always the end of the story.Sometimes it’s the beginning of life.

Today is International Women’s Day. 💜

I have the privilege of sitting with many women as they navigate some of the most difficult chapters of their lives—loss, change, identity shifts, and the quiet grief that so often goes unseen.

What I witness time and time again is the incredible strength, resilience, and compassion women carry, even when they feel at their most broken.

Today I’m thinking of all the women who are carrying heavy hearts while still showing up for their lives and the people around them.

Your stories matter. Your healing matters.

On this International Women’s Day, I celebrate the courage it takes to feel, to heal, and to keep moving forward. 💜
