🌟 End of Term Report 🌟

Schools out! 🎓

As you may be aware, The Beaches Medical Centre is a training practice, and we are incredibly proud of the role we play in developing the next generation of doctors.

We train GP Registrars — fully qualified doctors undertaking further training to become GPs — as well as hospital doctors who spend four months training in General Practice to gain valuable experience and a deeper understanding of primary care.

All of our doctors in training are knowledgeable, thorough and, most importantly, demonstrate a deep sense of empathy, care and professionalism — qualities that are so important in becoming an excellent GP. ❤️

Our trainees are closely supervised throughout their placements and report daily to their clinical supervisor, a senior GP, discussing the patients they have seen or visited that day.

We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful end-of-year news and achievements from our trainees. We are sure you will join us in wishing them all the very best for the next stage of their journeys in General Practice! 👏

1️⃣ Goodbye and good luck to Dr Thomas Plumridge

Our F2 hospital doctor, Dr Thomas Plumridge, is leaving us to return to James Paget Hospital, where he will take up a Teaching Fellow post. We wish him every success in his new role!

We also warmly welcome Dr Suzannah Downes, our new F2 trainee, who will be with us until December and Dr Shifa Elbashir (GP trainee ) who will be with us till next Feb
We look forward to supporting them during their time at The Beaches.

2️⃣ Congratulations to Dr Amy Jackson! 🎉

Dr Amy Jackson has successfully completed her SCA GP examination and achieved the highest score in the East of England! 🏆

What a fantastic achievement — huge congratulations, Amy! She will remain with us until November 2026, and we are delighted to have her as part of our team.

3️⃣ Congratulations to Dr Obinna Enyim! 🎉

Dr Obinna Enyim has successfully passed his GP examination and has now joined The Beaches Medical Centre as one of our sessional GPs.

Congratulations, Obinna — we are delighted that you are staying with us!

4️⃣ A fond farewell to Dr Karim Salama ❤️

We are very sad to say goodbye to Dr Karim Salama, who has successfully passed his GP examination.

Karim is moving to Newcastle with his family, following his wife taking up a training post there. We wish Karim and his family every happiness and success in this exciting new chapter.

And finally… congratulations to three of our former trainees! 🎓👏

We would also like to extend our congratulations and very best wishes to three of our former GP trainees who, after successfully qualifying as GPs earlier this year, have gone on to join The Beaches Medical Centre.

Dr Wanje Tizhe-Gami, Dr Shanaz Nasrin and Dr Foluso Fawole recently travelled to London to attend their Royal College of General Practitioners membership convocation ceremony.

We were absolutely delighted that they shared some lovely photographs with us from what must have been a very special and memorable day. 📸✨

We are incredibly proud of all our trainees, past and present, and feel privileged to have played a small part in their journeys.

Congratulations to everyone on your achievements, and here’s to the next chapter! 🥂🎓

An Update from Team Beaches:

Our fantastic Reception Team has raised an incredible £4,361.67, plus an additional £833.50 in Gift Aid, by completing the Norwich 5K Muddy Run on 9 May 2026 in support of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

This brings the total raised to £5,195.17 🎉🎉

Race for Life helps fund life-saving research into more than 200 types of cancer, supporting scientists, doctors, and nurses in their work to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Every donation contributes to vital research and brings us closer to a world where more people survive cancer.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and supported the team. Your generosity and encouragement helped make this achievement possible. We are incredibly proud of Team Beaches and their muddy, determined effort for such a worthwhile cause.

Our reception team at The Beaches Medical Centre are such a fantastic team!!

(TEAM BEACHES ) are taking on a 5K muddy run in Norwich on May 9th 2026 to support an incredible cause 💙

We’re raising money for Cancer Research UK to help fund life-saving research and bring us closer to a world where cancer is beaten. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

These means even more to us as a team — we’re proud to be running alongside a cancer survivor, which makes this cause deeply personal and incredibly important.

If you’re able to support, we’d be so grateful.

OUR TARGET IS 5K (£5000) FOR THE 5K RUN AND WITH YOUR HELP WE CAN DO IT!!

We have currently raised £2574

And even if you are not able to support with a donation, even sharing this post helps more than you know!
Let’s do something amazing together

We’ve made a questionable life choice… Team Beaches have signed up for the muddy 5K Race for Life 🫣😅 We’ll be running, slipping, crawling and definitely regretting it — all to raise money for Cancer Research. This cause is particularly meaningful to us, as one of our colleagues is curr...
