🌟 Rising Star Award 🌟

A huge congratulations to Honey, who has received our Rising Star Award!

Honey joined Burgh House as a cleaner and has settled into the team brilliantly. Since starting, her confidence has grown enormously, while her helpful nature, positive attitude and willingness to learn have really stood out.

She is now taking the next step by learning the role of Kitchen Assistant, and it has been wonderful to see her continue to develop and take on new responsibilities.

A thoroughly deserved award. Well done, Honey! 💙👏

Recently, local professional magician Sean Goodman - Magician visited Burgh House and treated our residents and staff to a brilliant afternoon of magic, surprises and plenty of smiles.

A huge thank you to Sean for taking the time to entertain everyone. We would happily recommend him to anyone looking to add something memorable and special to an event. 🪄👏

🌟 Rising Star Award 🌟

A huge congratulations to Ebony, our latest Rising Star Award winner! 🎉

Ebony joined Burgh House in a resident support role, where she encourages residents to stay hydrated, spends time chatting with them and helps ensure they feel comfortable and cared for.

Her enthusiasm, caring nature and willingness to learn quickly stood out. She has since begun supporting the kitchen team and is now training to become a carer, making fantastic progress in a very short space of time.

Helpful, dependable and always willing to go the extra mile for our residents and colleagues, Ebony has quickly become a hugely valued member of the Burgh House team.

🦁 A wild day out! 🐒

Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to the zoo, spending the day discovering the animals, exploring the park and making plenty of happy memories together.

There were smiles, laughter and lots to see along the way. A fantastic day out was enjoyed by everyone! 💙

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who helped make the trip possible. Days like this couldn’t happen without their time, care and support. 💙

A lovely day out by the sea 🌊

Some of our residents recently enjoyed a trip to SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth, where they got to see all kinds of wonderful aquatic animals.

Afterwards, it was time for a proper seaside treat with fish & chips , followed by an ice cream on the promenade. A simple, happy day full of smiles, fresh air and great company.

What a lovely afternoon we had at last week’s Open Day! 💙

It was wonderful to bring together residents, family members, staff, friends of Burgh House, professional visitors and members of the local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the day, donated, attended and made it such a success. Special thanks also to Cane The Bar for providing the entertainment and helping to create such a brilliant atmosphere.

Together, we raised more than £500, which will go directly into the Residents’ Fund to support future activities, experiences and treats.

It was really special to see everyone come together, enjoy themselves and spend quality time with one another. Thank you for making it such a memorable afternoon.

MEET THE TEAM 💙

This week we’re introducing Clare, our Activities Coordinator here at Burgh House.

Clare has been part of the Burgh House family for almost 10 years, celebrating an incredible decade with us this September. During that time, she has become a familiar face to residents, families and staff alike, bringing energy, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles to every day.

As our Activities Coordinator, Clare works tirelessly to organise and deliver a wide range of activities that help keep our residents engaged, active and entertained. Whether it’s arts and crafts, games, celebrations or special events, Clare’s creativity and passion shine through in everything she does.

Her friendly, bubbly personality makes her a joy to be around, and it’s no surprise that she’s so popular with our residents.

The activities programme simply wouldn’t be the same without Clare, and we’re incredibly grateful for the positivity, kindness and dedication she brings to Burgh House every single day.
