🎶☕ What a fabulous Friday afternoon at Eversley Lodge! ☕🎶

This afternoon we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the amazing Karla Beare for some fantastic live entertainment! 💃🎤

We were also delighted to welcome our friends from Centre 81 to join us for the afternoon, and what a wonderful time we all had! ❤️

Karla certainly raised the roof this Friday afternoon! 🎶 She had everyone smiling, singing and clapping along to all her fabulous songs. There were plenty of happy faces throughout the room, and Karla even took the time to sing individually to some of our residents, which certainly made their day! 🥰🎤

We had such a fantastic afternoon and we can't wait to welcome Karla back again next year! ❤️

Once Karla had finished singing, it was time to tuck into a delicious afternoon tea buffet, lovingly prepared by our wonderful Chef Andrew and Kitchen Assistant Nicky. 🥪🧁🍰☕

🌸💐 Getting ready for a beautiful afternoon at Eversley Lodge! 💐🌸

This morning, our residents have been busy arranging these gorgeous flowers into beautiful vases to place around our lovely home. 🌷🌺🌼

Everyone enjoyed choosing the flowers and creating their own arrangements, adding a lovely splash of colour and bringing a little extra beauty to Eversley Lodge. 💕✨

We’re getting ready for our afternoon tea and live entertainment this afternoon with the amazing Karla Beare! 🎤🎵

We can’t wait for an afternoon filled with delicious treats, beautiful flowers, wonderful music and plenty of smiles! 🥰

💜 A Wonderful Day at Eversley Lodge 💜

We started the day at Eversley Lodge with our weekly yoga session with our wonderful wellness coach, Premy, via Zoom. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Seven of our residents gathered in the first-floor lounge and joined in with Premy’s session. They practised breathing exercises with Premy’s guidance, got their bodies moving by walking on the spot, had a go at punching the air and even enjoyed a few fun balance games along the way! 👏😊

Our puzzle table has also been a hive of activity throughout the day. Different residents have been stopping by to add a few more pieces to the puzzle, bit by bit. 🧩 It’s lovely to see residents coming together, having a chat and enjoying some time together while working on the puzzle.

This afternoon, Sam spent some one-to-one time with Patricia in her room playing her favourite game, Lexicon. ❤️ They both had 10 cards each and had to find words they could lay down. Patricia was on top form and won both rounds! 🏆👏

What a lovely day of movement, fun, friendships and plenty of smiles! 💕🏡

🌟 EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH – AUGUST! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Maria, one of our wonderful domestics, and Nicky, a much-loved member of our fabulous kitchen team, on being named our Employees of the Month for August! 🥳👏

Both Maria and Nicky go above and beyond every single day for our residents, their colleagues and the home. Their hard work, dedication and willingness to help wherever and whenever they can make such a difference to the smooth running of Eversley Lodge.

From ensuring our home is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, to making sure our residents are well fed, happy and cared for, they both play such an important part in the life of our home. They are always willing to lend a helping hand and never hesitate to go that extra mile. 🌸

Their efforts are truly appreciated, valued and recognised, and we couldn’t be more proud to celebrate them both. ❤️

🐶🐾 Dog Day at Eversley Lodge! 🐾🐶

This afternoon at Eversley Lodge, we welcomed Nicola & Della from East of England Funeral Services for a fun afternoon of all things dogs! 🐕❤️

To celebrate Dog Day, our residents joined Nicola & Della in tackling a tricky dog breed word search, seeing how many different breeds they could find. It certainly put everyone’s brains to the test! 🧠🐾

Josie & Margaret also took part in our dog-themed quiz, and both did amazingly well, scoring an impressive 9 out of 10! 👏🎉

Nicola & Della also do lots of community work around the local area and took the opportunity to chat with our residents about funeral services and anything funeral-related, answering any questions they may have had in a relaxed and friendly setting.

A big thank you to Nicola & Della for spending the afternoon with us and joining in the fun! 🐶

We received the most beautiful gifts and handmade card from the family of a much-loved resident who sadly passed away. 💚

We never expect gifts or recognition from the families we care for. What means the most to us is knowing that, during what can be one of the most difficult and emotional times in a family’s life, they felt that their loved one was safe, respected, valued and truly cared for.

The handmade card and kind words reminded us that the care we provide extends far beyond the resident themselves. We care for families too. We support them, listen to them, reassure them and walk alongside them through some of their hardest moments.

To be recognised in this way is incredibly humbling and means more than we can put into words. 🥹🤍

A huge thank you to the family for their incredible generosity and for taking the time to make such a thoughtful card. Your kindness means so much to every member of our Eversley team. 💐

This is what Eversley will always be about, providing exceptional care with compassion, kindness and heart, and making a difference not only to the lives of our residents, but to the families who love them. 💚

🌸 What a busy Sunday at Eversley Lodge! 🌸

We’ve had a lovely and varied Sunday here at Eversley Lodge, with a little bit of everything — puzzles, games, gardening, exercise, relaxation and plenty of friendly conversation! ❤️

🧩 We kicked off the morning with Chris making a start on a new jigsaw puzzle, with June joining her for a lovely Sunday morning catch-up. Meanwhile, Jill was making the most of the beautiful morning sunshine while enjoying a relaxing cup of tea. ☀️☕

Later in the morning, Margaret, Lesley, Gladys and Pauline got together for a game of Scrabble! 🔤 There was plenty of concentration as they played, followed by some lovely friendly conversations and lots of good company. 😊

🍅 After lunch, June helped Amy by picking the ripe tomatoes from our tomato plant. We’re absolutely amazed by our very first crop! It’s so lovely to see the fruits of our little gardening efforts. 🌱❤️

🧘‍♀️ We ended the day with some armchair exercises, followed by a relaxing meditation session.

The ladies were thoroughly surprised by the meditation and, much to our amusement, said they actually enjoyed it more than the exercises! 😂 Pauline even commented that she nearly drifted off to sleep! 😴

A wonderful way to end a busy Sunday — relaxing, peaceful and surrounded by good company. 🥰

We’ve had another lovely Saturday here at Eversley Lodge, filled with plenty of laughter, celebrations, creativity and a little bit of football! ⚽️

We kicked off the morning with some word games 🔎 Amy found what she thought was a great puzzle for everyone… only to discover that none of the words listed at the bottom were actually in the grid! 😂 The residents found this absolutely hilarious, especially as they managed to find plenty of words that weren’t on the list! They all agreed that Amy was definitely trying to trick them! 😆 Thankfully, Amy found another word search that actually worked! 🧩

🎂 After lunch, we celebrated Josie’s birthday! 🎉
And we think Josie was pleasantly surprised! Our wonderful chef Nicki created the most delicious Victoria sponge cake — and just look how stunning it was! 🍰❤️ The residents all enjoyed a slice as their dessert, making the birthday celebrations extra special.

⚽️ After lunch, Brian and Derek settled down in the lounge to watch Millwall vs Norwich, before meeting up again at 5pm for the Brentford vs Spurs game.

🎨 Later in the afternoon, Lesley, decided to show Gladys, Pauline and Amy her amazing collection of handmade cards — and what a collection it was!
Lesley is incredibly talented, and we were all so impressed with her beautiful designs. It has certainly given Amy some inspiration for a future card-making craft activity! ✂️💌
Gladys and Pauline were fascinated and asked lots of questions about how Lesley first got into crafting. We discovered that around 15–20 years ago, while Lesley was studying for a degree, she came across some craft bits and pieces and an advert in the paper for card-making lessons. From there, her creativity simply grew and grew! ❤️

Maria and Marion soon joined the conversation too, which led to lots of laughter, laughs and giggles all around! 😂🥰

A Saturday full of laughter, cake, creativity, conversation and good company — just the way we like it at Eversley Lodge! ❤️
