The Practice is aware of the comments due to the disruption being caused by the change of IT system.

We feel it is important to clarify a few comments which are false:

We did not have a choice regarding the change of system. This system is being rolled out to every GP Practice in Scotland. Each Practice is allocated a time for their change over.

The issues we are experiencing is related to the time the system takes compared to previous system. This slows all tasks that we normally do in a day. For a Practice with our list size this is challenging. We are working very hard in the background however the challenges with the system remain with the IT Department to resolve. We have escalated our issues to the Healthboard, Scottish Government and our local MSP's.

We have had contact from other Practices out with the area who are facing the same issues and have had to escalate to the same organisations as ourselves.

Regarding our list size, we have no option to refuse anyone wanting to register with us, that is in the Health Board contract.

We appreciate our patients co-operation at this time.

The Practice is aware of the frustration patients are experiencing at this time . The change of computer system was not a Practice decision but a decision made by the Scottish Government and the Health Board.

The system does not meet the same standards as our previous system, we are now dealing with a very slow and lacks any modernisation and therefore we are dealing with major disruption in our day to day running.

We have raised these concerns with the relevant departments.

We are trying our very best to get back to a way of normal running and whilst we very much appreciate the impact on our patients we would ask that patients please treat our staff with respect at this time.
