The role will involve you assisting the needs of the elderly with their health and personal care needs. Your duties will range from preparing meals and drinks, to personal care tasks such as bathing, washing and dressing.

To ensure the quality of care is kept to a high standard within the elderly users home. You will engage in personal care, assisting service user, preparing meals, daily cleaning duties, assisting with mobility & medication if required. A caring, compassionate and can do attitude is essential.

This care service involves a programme of personal care and household care management that is personalised for the elderly user in the form of a care plan. Care duties will therefore include assisting the elderly user with a variety of duties, and in doing so the will observe and respect the elderly userโs dignity, privacy and independence as far as is practical.

(The role may involve some or all of the following. This is not intended as a complete list and is supplied for information only)
โข Assist service user to get up, dressing and preparing them for their day
โข Washing, bathing, showering, oral care, grooming, toileting
โข Using manual handling equipment as specified.
โข Working with other care professionals such as District Nurses, GPs, etc.
โข Assisting with prescribed medication
โข Assist service user to go to bed, including un******ng and washing
โข Preparation of meals
โข General household duties
โข Bed making and laundry
โข Shopping and supplies management
โข To keep accurate records of care visits and medication management
โข Managing and dealing with difficult situations

โข 3 to 4 hour shifts
โข x3 shifts per week
โข Between 10am & 7pm
โข Weekends included
โข Rota will be provided in advance
