Monday at Alt-Na-Craig 💙

What a lovely start to the week! 😊

This morning our residents enjoyed a fun game of Prize Bingo. 🎉 Bingo is always a firm favourite, encouraging concentration, memory, number recognition and social interaction, with plenty of smiles and friendly competition along the way. 🏆

This afternoon we were delighted to welcome back Fitness with Fiona. 💪🧘‍♀️ Our residents took part in gentle exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance and coordination, while also boosting confidence and overall wellbeing. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and enjoying themselves.

Another fantastic day filled with fun, laughter and meaningful moments at Alt-Na-Craig. ❤️

🎨 Weekend fun at Alt-Na-Craig! ❤️

On Saturday, our residents enjoyed a relaxing arts and crafts session, one of our favourite activities. Creative activities help encourage self-expression, improve concentration, and promote a sense of achievement. We also had a lively game of bingo, which is always popular and helps support memory, concentration, and social interaction.

On Sunday, we had great fun playing coordination games, with plenty of laughter as everyone tried to catch the balls using our giant parachute skirt before taking turns throwing them into the centre. These activities help improve hand-eye coordination, gentle movement, teamwork, and confidence.

In the afternoon, it was residents’ choice, and The Golden Girls was the clear favourite! We settled down with refreshments, tasty nibbles, and enjoyed lots of laughs together. 💙

✨ Friday at Alt-Na-Craig ✨

Our morning was spent enjoying some relaxing nail care, helping residents feel pampered while promoting good hand hygiene, boosting self-esteem, encouraging conversation, and providing valuable one-to-one time. 💅💖

In the afternoon, we welcomed Paul from Fit-Baw for a fun session of light exercises. 🏃‍♀️💙 Gentle physical activity helps to improve mobility, strength, balance, circulation, and overall wellbeing, all while having plenty of laughs together.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Daisy the dog for a visit! 🐶❤️ As you can imagine, our residents were completely smitten. Animal visits bring so much joy, comfort, companionship, and spark wonderful memories.

A huge thank you to Kirsty for bringing Daisy along—we hope to see you both again very soon! 🥰

💛 National Friendship Day at Alt-Na-Craig 💛

On Thursday we celebrated National Friendship Day with lots of smiles and creativity! Some of our residents enjoyed making beautiful friendship bracelets, while others created thoughtful friendship cards or relaxed with some colouring in. 🎨💌

In the afternoon, we treated everyone to a lovely cheese and wine afternoon, enjoying a delicious selection of cheeses and crackers while singing along to some old classics. 🧀🍷🎶

It was another wonderful day filled with friendship, laughter, music, and happy memories here at Alt-Na-Craig. ❤️

Today at Alt-Na-Craig 🌟

This morning, our residents enjoyed individual puzzles, giving everyone the opportunity to take part at their own pace. 🧩 Activities like these help stimulate memory, concentration, problem-solving skills, and provide a wonderful sense of achievement.

In the afternoon, it was time to get active with some fun floor games followed by lots of laughter with balloon games! 🎈 These activities encourage gentle movement, improve coordination, promote teamwork, and most importantly, bring smiles and laughter to everyone involved.

✨ Today at Alt-Na-Craig ✨

This morning, our residents enjoyed a selection of table games as part of our Residents’ Choice programme. Offering choice helps to promote independence, encourages social interaction, and ensures everyone can take part in activities they truly enjoy. 🎲🧩

This afternoon, we would like to say a huge thank you to Brian and Mark from Dignity Funeral Services, who very kindly treated our residents to a wonderful trip to Largs in their beautiful limousines. 🚘💙 There was lots of laughter, great company, and plenty of smiles along the way. We also stopped at Nardini’s for some delicious ice cream, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. 🍦😊

This evening, it was Residents’ Choice once again, with a relaxing screening of The Golden Girls, accompanied by refreshments and tasty nibbles. 📺🍿

Another wonderful day making special memories together at Alt-Na-Craig. ❤️

🌟 Today at Alt-Na-Craig 🌟

What another lovely day we’ve had! ❤️

This morning was all about meaningful one-to-one time, spending quality moments with our residents through chats, companionship and support tailored to each individual. Around our lounge areas, there was also plenty of fun with a variety of games, laughter and good company.

This afternoon, we enjoyed another lovely lunch outing to Tail O’ the Bank. Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying a delicious meal together, with fish and chips proving to be a firm favourite! 🐟🍟 It was lovely to get out, enjoy the beautiful views and spend time making special memories.

To finish off the day, we gathered together for some prize bingo, complete with refreshments and tasty nibbles. There was lots of excitement, friendly competition and plenty of smiles all round.

A day filled with companionship, laughter and meaningful moments – just the way we like it. 🩷

🌼 Friday at Alt-Na-Craig 🌼

What a lovely way to end the week! 💛

This morning we enjoyed meaningful choice activities in our upstairs lounge, creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere where residents could choose how they wished to spend their time. 🧩🎨🎶 Alongside this, we carried out our important one-to-one wellbeing visits, spending quality time with residents in their bedrooms, offering companionship, conversation and support. ❤️

In the afternoon, we took another group of residents out for a delicious lunch at Cardwell Garden Centre. 🌿☕🍰 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, great company and the chance to get out and about. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter and special memories. 😊💚
