We have been working hard to give our conservatory and activity area a well-deserved makeover. The flooring has been replaced throughout, the area has had a fresh lick of paint, and we’ve added an additional TV along with some lovely new accessories.

I think you will all agree that it looks fantastic! Most importantly, our residents are really happy with the outcome and are delighted to be back enjoying their favourite area.

WOW… a BIG WOW! 🎉

We raised over £800 on Friday! 🥳

Thank you all once again for the fabulous turnout, your incredible support, and for helping to make it such a fantastic day. We really couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️

We also raised an additional £150 towards the minibus, which has been fixed over the weekend. 🚐🙌

How amazing — thank you all so, so much for your generosity and support! 💕

🌞 A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Summer Fayre today! 🌞

We’ve had such a lovely day, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many wonderful people. ❤️

A huge thank you to all our amazing staff who have worked so hard today, as well as everyone who has been busy behind the scenes helping to make the day such a success. Also a thank you to staff members family and friends who have supported us.

Thank you to all our families who came along and supported us, whether that was by purchasing raffle tickets, baking cakes, donating raffle prizes, or simply joining us and making the day so special. Your support means so much to us. 🥰

A special thank you also goes to all of today’s fantastic entertainers for helping to make the day so enjoyable. 🎶🎤

We are truly grateful to each and every one of you for your kindness, generosity and support. 💕

Only 2 Days to Go Until Our Summer Fayre! ☀️

The countdown is on! With the weather forecast looking lovely, we're pleased to confirm that our Summer Fayre will be going ahead outdoors as planned.

Our team has been working hard this week to get everything ready, and we're looking forward to welcoming lots of staff, family members, and friends of Waltham House.

A few important reminders before the day:

Please remember that Waltham House is a working care home and, most importantly, our residents' home. Their comfort and wellbeing remain our top priority throughout the event.

Parking: Staff will be parking in an alternative location. Visitors are welcome to use the main car park and the parking spaces along the side of the building as you arrive.

No smoking or va**ng: Waltham House is a no-smoking and no-va**ng site. If you wish to smoke or v**e, please move well away from the building and other visitors.

Kitchen access: The kitchen will be restricted to staff members only.

Toilets: Visitor access will be to the staff toilet inside, ground floor, first corridor. Please do not use the resident toilets.

We can't wait to see you all and hope you enjoy a fantastic day with us!

We've had a busy couple of weeks here at Waltham House! 😊

Our residents have enjoyed a lovely visit from Becca and Baby, welcomed some fantastic new entertainers to the home, Tim and Tom (not a duet! 😂), and spent time reminiscing with Clive during his monthly visit. We've also kept active with our weekly chair-based exercise sessions led by Chris.

There's always something happening at Waltham House, with plenty of opportunities to socialise, stay active, and have fun. We wouldn't have it any other way! 💙

Just over a week to go until our Summer Fayre!

The weather forecast is looking a little unsettled at the moment, with some rain predicted. However, we're still planning to go ahead, and if the weather isn't on our side, we'll simply move the event indoors.

It's shaping up to be a fantastic day, with plenty to see and do, and we can't wait to welcome you all. We hope to see you there!

Our residents had a fantastic time getting geared up for the England match yesterday! The day was filled with fun as everyone enjoyed making flags and sharing their score predictions ahead of kick-off. There were a few disappointed residents today.

We have also welcomed a new singer to the home this week. A huge thank you to Tim for such an entertaining afternoon—we can't wait to welcome him back again very soon! 🎤🎶💃🕺 Tim had all the residents singing along to a wonderful selection of old classics. It wasn't long before both residents and staff were up singing, dancing, and enjoying the fantastic atmosphere!

This month's Resident Chef of the Month was Andy, who chose one of our residents' all-time favourite meals from the menu! Creamy chicken with rice and homemade chips, followed by butterscotch tart. Thank you to our amazing kitchen team!
