๐๐ Client spotlight๐๐
When this client first came to see me in January, he was struggling with persistent low back pain, herniated discs, and sciatic pain that had stopped him doing many of the things he enjoyed. As a HGV driver, work had become increasingly difficult, and he was relying on a walking stick for mobility. Everyday tasks were a real challenge, and he had developed muscle atrophy in several key areas.
Together, we put a treatment plan in place focusing on manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, pain management and ergonomic education. Most importantly, he committed to the process and consistently worked towards the goals we set.
Fast forward to todayโฆ
โ
No walking stick in sight.
โ
Working comfortably with significantly less pain.
โ
Moving and lifting with far greater confidence.
โ
Improved strength, muscle mass, which helps with resilience to help support his back and hips.
And the biggest achievement? He has recently completed building his own pond from scratch! That involved lifting hundreds of breeze blocks, tonnes of sand, and tonnes of pebbles and stonesโsomething that would have been unimaginable at the start of the year. (And I have to say, it looks fantastic so far).
His progress is a brilliant reminder that rehabilitation is a team effort. There isn't a magic fixโit takes consistency, patience, and a willingness to put in the work. He did exactly that, and the results speak for themselves.
I'm incredibly proud to have been part of his journey. Well doneโyou've earned every bit of this progress! ๐
