Not everything that is popular online is right for your face.

Social media can be great for inspiration, but trends are not treatment plans. What suits one person may not suit another, and a result that looks dramatic on screen does not always translate beautifully in real life.

Good aesthetics should never be based on copying a trend. They should be based on facial anatomy, balance, skin quality, movement and what is actually appropriate for the individual sitting in front of you.

One of the questions we get asked all the time is, “Will I bruise?”

The honest answer is, we do not know.

Any treatment involving a needle carries the possibility of bruising. Some people barely bruise at all, while others can bruise quite noticeably, even when treatment has been carried out carefully and correctly. It is not always about technique. Sometimes it is simply how your body responds.

Personally, I have barely ever bruised, until this absolute whopper appeared right before a holiday. Definitely not the practitioner’s fault, just one of those things that can happen.

That is exactly why timing matters just as much as treatment.

If you have a holiday, wedding, event or important plans coming up, it is always best to think ahead. Swelling, bruising and settling time should all be taken into account, rather than leaving things too close to the date.

Absolutely incredible work by Deborah.

This lovely client wanted to improve the lower face, with particular concern around the lines around the mouth and the overall loss of definition in this area.

Treatment was approached in stages. At the first appointment, Deborah focused on softening and supporting the lines around the mouth. At the second appointment, subtle lip enhancement was added to help restore balance and support through the lower face.

This is a great example of why treatment is sometimes a process.

Not everything should be done in one appointment, and the best results often come from a carefully planned approach over time. By building the treatment gradually, the result can look softer, more balanced and much more natural.

The outcome is beautifully refreshed while still looking like her. A subtle improvement, but one that has made a real difference to the overall lower face.

One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that filler is just filler.

In reality, there are different types of dermal filler, and choosing the right one is an important part of achieving a safe, balanced and natural-looking result.

Nurses do not simply select a product at random.

The choice depends on the treatment area, your anatomy, the level of support needed and the final result that is being aimed for.

Finer fillers are often used in more delicate areas or where a softer finish is needed. These can be useful where subtle hydration, light support or a very natural refinement is the goal.
