What an amazing summer party yesterday at Guildford House Care Home - Avery Collection! All the staff worked so hard to make it such a special day, thank you to all of you, you were all brilliant 👏

It's been a fabulous week at Guildford House Care Home - Avery Collection, as always our amazing Activities Team made everyone feel included in the fun with a great variety of activities on offer. The smiling faces says it all! 😃

Our super talented new resident showed off her latest water colours during the Arts and Crafts session, and they enjoyed the energetic Zumba class, a more sedate knitting group showed off their creations whilst others enjoyed a very competitive game of Boccia with one resident scoring a perfect Bulls Eye!

The talented boys from RGS came and entertained superbly as usual followed by the Wintershall Singers who sang their hearts out!

Kevin had fun with all the residents from Assisted Living and Evergreen and then there was a great rendition of Happy Birthday to Sylvia!

The week finished with a fun trip on the Watercress Line, thank you to the volunteers who made everyone feel so welcome.

Its been Care Home Open Week at Guildford House Care Home - Avery Collection all this week and the Activities Team have worked their usual magic with some wonderful activities for our lovely residents!

From a Fun Sports Day with lots of games and plenty of laughter to a super trip out to Winkworth Arboretum cafe and shop and a tour of the Interesting News building which was inspired by the Boat House.

There was also a trip to Newlands Corner but despite the rain, there were lovely views and lots of smiles all round 😀

On Evergreen, residents enjoyed some colouring and the popular Repair Shop.

Busy, busy busy here at Guildford House Care Home - Avery Collection!

From Zumba classes to the wonderful Carousel Theatre Company performing a 1960's show, the knitting club, clicking clacking their needles.

Then we had the ever popular Royal Grammar School boys here, they read poetry, ran a quiz and their music master played to the residents on his trombone and the piano. A great week so far!

The rest of the weekend is CARE HOME OPEN WEEK, do op in and say hello, there will be plenty of refreshments to enjoy too!
