This Pride Month, we're proud to share some reflections from Chris, Head of Operations and Chair of our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee here at Vets Now.
Chris reflects on why Pride remains as important as ever, not only as a celebration of progress, but as a reminder of the ongoing work needed to create a more inclusive and equitable society for LGBTQIA+ people, including in our workplaces and communities.
Chris said: "Pride is about celebrating how far we've come, while recognising the challenges that remain. It honours those who fought for the rights we have today, shines a light on ongoing inequality, and reminds us that visibility, allyship, and inclusion still matter.
I'm incredibly proud to work for Vets Now, where our values foster a culture of acceptance, respect, and belonging. We are committed to creating an environment where people from all backgrounds and walks of life feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to be themselves. "
As Pride celebrations take place across the UK this month, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on Pride's history, celebrate the progress that's been made, and show support and allyship in whatever way feels meaningful to them.
Happy Pride Month. 🌈
