Last week, the St Martha’s Oncology Team at Mount Alvernia Hospital celebrated the official opening of their new garden! 🪴
The garden has recently been upgraded to include a new garden pod, kindly donated from funds raised by Knight Frank Estate Agents. This peaceful pod improves the space, ensuring it can be enjoyed throughout the year.
The team hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally open the garden. The new space will provide patients currently undergoing treatment with a peaceful place away from hospital treatment rooms to spend time alone or with accompanying family and friends.
To celebrate the occasion, attendees were invited to plant a sunflower and take part in a competition. The height and circumference of each sunflower will be measured in two months’ time, with the tallest winning! Thank you to all those who attended to mark the celebration.
