Specialist Physiotherapist Sammy has put together the perfect combination of gentle strengthening and stretching exercises into both Pilates and Yoga classes to keep you healthy,

active and doing the things you love. And If your needing a little extra help to get you back on track, the treatment room here at My Core Wellbeing puts specialist bespoke treatment plans together for you to help you achieve whatever your goals may be. These classes are perfect for anyone wanting to keep healthy, activity, and free from daily aches and pains. Along with those wanting get more confident, stronger and more mobile without "hitting the gym". If any of these sound familiar then Pilates or Yoga could be perfect for you. (Make the most of the physio and ask her injury advice and tips to boost recovery, with the security of knowing you're getting expert advice)

Please join us in giving a very warm welcome to Deborah from Sunshine Yoga!

We're delighted to be collaborating with Deborah as she brings her wonderful Pregnancy Yoga classes to My Core Wellbeing.
Starting from Monday 22nd June, Deborah will be leading our new:
🤰 Pregnancy Yoga
📅 Mondays
🕕 6.00pm – 7.00pm

These classes will offer a beautiful opportunity to slow down, connect with your changing body, prepare for birth, and meet other local mums-to-be.

As we welcome Deborah, we'd also like to take a moment to thank Karen for her wonderful Pregnancy Yoga classes over the years. She has supported so many women through their pregnancy journeys and has been a valued part of our community. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has brought to the studio and wish her all the very best. 💛

Please note that our Friday evening Pregnancy Yoga classes will no longer be running.

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on holding deep, passive stretches for an extended period, typically 3 to 5 minutes. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin encourages stillness and mindfulness, allowing you to target the deeper connective tissues like ligaments, joints, and fascia.

The practice helps improve flexibility, joint mobility, and overall relaxation. By holding poses for longer periods, Yin Yoga also activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a sense of calm and reducing stress.

It’s perfect for anyone looking to enhance their flexibility, ease tension, and cultivate a peaceful state of mind. 🌿

A sound bath is a therapeutic experience in which you are immersed in sound waves produced by various instruments, such as gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, and chimes.

During a sound bath, you typically lie down nice and cosy while the sounds are played, allowing the vibrations to resonate through your body and encourage deep meditation, emotional release, and overall wellbeing.

Experiencing a sound bath will help promote relaxation, reduce stress, and restore balance in the body and mind.

YinYang Yoga: A perfectly balanced class combining two styles in one session.
The dynamic flow of Vinyasa to energise and strengthen, and the deep, restful stretches of Yin to relax and restore.

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of practice where you seamlessly link movement with breath, flowing smoothly from one pose to the next. Rather than holding static postures for long periods, it acts as a "moving meditation" that builds cardiovascular health, strength, and flexibility

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga where passive postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes or longer. Unlike active "yang" yoga, it targets deep connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, and joints) rather than muscles, promoting flexibility, joint mobility, and deep mental relaxation.

Physical activity isn’t just beneficial for our bodies — it can have a powerful impact on our mental wellbeing too 💛

There is growing evidence showing the positive connection between movement and mental health. In fact, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommends group exercise as one of the first treatments for mild-to-moderate depression.

Even gentle movement can help. A 10-minute brisk walk, a yoga flow, or a Pilates session can help to:
✨ Boost mood
✨ Increase energy levels
✨ Reduce stress and anxiety
✨ Calm racing thoughts
✨ Support better sleep
