So I have some news . I brought a new couch. It’s beautiful , comfy , stable, everything I could want in a couch. People have noticed . It’s Deffinitly an upgrade.
It made me reflect . My last couch was actually about 30 years old. I brought it when I was beginning as a massage therapist. That’s quite a long time ago. It’s traveled with me. It’s been to many peoples houses when I used to travel with my bags, towels and oils to lots of remote places .
It got put away when I went abroad for a while. It’s only been very recently that I finally decided that I could do massage , just massage as my main job. I put down the care work, shop work , cleaning, life modelling and all the other side hustles which meant I could pay my rent and bring up my son .
It is only now with more training, more focus my self belief started to grow The course were amazing , from my wonderful trip to Hawaii, after my dad died , to learn lomi lomi to many trips to Brighton with jing, learning Reiki in Bere Alston and Thai massage in Exeter .
The trainings really fed my confidence. I started to believe in my abilities. With the help of my lovely man, Marcus, we converted a room.
Here I am in my own space, bringing all those skills together. Every treatment is a bit different . I’ve had some amazing teachers, both in the courses I’ve done and also in the bodies I’ve worked with.
I really do love what I do. I am in deep gratitude that massage can be my main, my only job . I get to work from home, I get to work how and when I want .
So it feels like a big deal , the new couch. As though three decades in , I’m only really just landing in this massaging work and still learning every day.
Lastly thanks to all my wonderful clients for your trust in me .
Thank you
With love
