🌲🌷New hospital gardens bring comfort and nature to patients and their visitors 🌿🎍

New hospital gardens at East Lothian Community Hospital bring hope, comfort, and serenity to patients and their loved ones.

Made possible by generous grants from The Blyth Trust and support from Lothian Charity, the newly redeveloped outdoor spaces, have transformed the areas outside East Fortune House (the hospital’s 20-bed palliative care unit) and Oak Tree Ward (adult mental health and dementia services) into accessible, vibrant sanctuaries that provide opportunities for relaxation, reflection, social interaction and nature-based activities.

🌿✨ The residents at Crookston Care Home have been getting creative and finding moments of calm by designing and building their very own Zen gardens.

They arranged a variety of natural materials and decorations to create their own individual gardens. The activity sparked plenty of conversation, and creativity while providing a mindful and therapeutic experience for everyone involved.
