MEDICAL STUDENTS 2025–2026 🎓👩🏻‍🎓👨‍⚕

We are delighted to share that the practice has been awarded Gold and Bronze Awards in recognition of our training and support of 4th and 5th year medical students during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Lambgates has been a long-standing host for medical students from the University of Manchester, welcoming students at all stages of their learning journey — from those taking their first steps in Year 1, through to those completing their final stages of training.

We are incredibly proud to play a part in helping to educate and prepare the next generation of doctors. However, none of this would be possible without the support and generosity of our patients.

A huge THANK YOU to all our patients who have kindly agreed to be seen by our medical students and trainees. By allowing students to learn from your experiences and consultations, you are making a valuable contribution to their education and helping us to train the doctors of the future.

🌟 Friends & Family Test July 2026 🌟

Patients consistently highlighted the kindness, professionalism and dedication of our whole team, from reception and administration staff to our nurses, paramedics, doctors and cleaners. Many comments praised the ease of accessing appointments, prompt responses through our triage system, same-day appointments when needed, and the thorough, compassionate care provided by our clinicians.

We carefully review all feedback received, including comments rated as "poor" or "very poor", as these help us identify areas where we can improve our services and patient experience. ⭐ Friends & Family Results – June 2026 ⭐
A huge thank you to the 145 patients who took the time to share their feedback with us during June. Your comments help us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve.

We are delighted that 94% of patients rated their experience as Good or Very Good and said they would recommend Lambgates Health Centre to their friends and family. This is a fantastic reflection of the hard work and dedication of our whole team, and we are very grateful for the many positive comments we received such as this:
⭐ I felt listened to and able to express my needs at a difficult time, all thanks to the patience of the paramedic I saw. This surgery has really looked after me over the years and it is a great comfort knowing I have such a wonderful support team. Thank you

Whilst most of the feedback was extremely positive, we did receive a small number of poor responses this month. One "very poor" response related to concerns about continuity of care.

Patients are welcome to request a particular GP or clinician when booking an appointment. However, as some clinicians have longer waiting times than others, this may mean waiting longer to be seen. Where a GP reviewing a triage request feels that a patient needs to be assessed as soon as possible, we will always offer the next available appropriate appointment. This may not always be with a patient's preferred or named GP, but ensures that patients receive timely care when it is needed.

We would also like to reassure patients that being seen by another member of our clinical team does not mean receiving a lower standard of care. Lambgates Health Centre is a training practice, and we have GP Registrars working alongside our experienced clinical team. All trainee GPs are closely supervised by our senior GPs and play an important role in helping us provide appointments within NHS access targets, often within 48 hours and well within the 14-day standard.

📊 June Service Report 📊
June was a busy month for the practice, with our patient list continuing to grow and increases in both the number of calls answered and online triage forms submitted.

A reminder about triage requests:
✅ Once you press submit, your form is safely in our system.
✅ A GP will review your triage on the day it is submitted.
✅clinically urgent patient requests will receive a same-day response.
✅those whose needs are assessed as non‑urgent, will be receive an appropriate response by the end of the next working day

Repeated calls to check on submitted triages can tie up our phone lines and may delay access for patients who are calling with an immediate clinical need
