Looking to soften the appearance of fine lines?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are a popular option for those looking for a fresher, natural-looking appearance while still keeping natural facial expression.

Some of the most commonly treated areas include:

• Frown lines between the eyebrows
• Crow’s feet around the eyes
• Horizontal forehead lines

As we age, repeated facial movements such as smiling, frowning and raising our eyebrows can make these lines become more noticeable over time.

Every face is different, which is why treatment should always be tailored to you and the results you’re hoping to achieve.

What Happens After Microneedling?

The treatment may be finished, but your skin’s work is just beginning!

Microneedling triggers the skin’s natural repair response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

Over the following days and weeks, this renewal process continues, helping to improve skin texture, fine lines and overall skin quality.

Some temporary redness or sensitivity can be expected shortly after treatment, and you’ll be given aftercare advice to help your skin while it settles.

Interested in microneedling? Message us to find out more or book a consultation.

~Dermal Fillers~

Dermal fillers are a versatile treatment that can be used to soften lines and folds, restore volume and enhance facial contours, while keeping results looking natural.

Most dermal fillers are made using hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found within the skin that plays an important role in hydration. HA attracts and binds water, helping to add volume and create a smoother, firmer appearance.

Dermal fillers can be used across various areas of the face, with every treatment tailored to your individual features, concerns and desired results.

✨ What does collagen actually do?

We hear about collagen all the time when it comes to skin - but what does it actually do?

Collagen is a naturally occurring protein that helps give our skin its structure, strength and firmness.

As we age, our natural collagen production gradually decreases. Along with other changes in the skin, this can contribute to:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Changes in skin texture
• Skin appearing thinner or less plump

This is why so many aesthetic and skin treatments focus on supporting or stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production, rather than simply changing how the skin looks on the surface.

Healthy-looking skin starts with understanding what’s happening underneath it. ✨

Message us if you’d like to discuss which treatments may be suitable for your skin and concerns.

Time to Refresh Your Skin?

Summer can be wonderful, but increased sun exposure, heat and changes to our usual routines can sometimes leave our skin looking a little dull, uneven or in need of a refresh.

A chemical peel is a skin treatment designed to exfoliate the surface of the skin and encourage fresh skin renewal.

Depending on the type of peel used, they can help to improve the appearance of:

• Dull or tired-looking skin
• Uneven skin tone and texture
• Fine lines
• Pigmentation
• Blemish-prone skin

Chemical peels come in different types and strengths, so choosing the right peel for your skin and your individual concerns is important.

DERMAPLANING MYTH: Does the hair grow back thicker?

No! This is one of the most common misconceptions about dermaplaning.

Dermaplaning removes the fine, soft vellus hair (often called peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin, along with dead skin cells.

Removing the hair at the surface doesn’t change the hair follicle underneath, so it won’t cause the hair to grow back thicker, darker or faster.

As it grows back, it may initially feel slightly different because the hair has been cut straight across, but its thickness and growth remain the same.

The result? Smoother, brighter-looking skin and a lovely fresh finish. ✨

✨ PRP Explained – What Is It?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma – a treatment that uses components from your own blood to support the skin’s natural repair and rejuvenation processes.

A small blood sample is taken and processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains growth factors involved in the body’s natural healing processes.

PRP is used within aesthetic medicine as a regenerative treatment, with the aim of supporting skin quality, rejuvenation and collagen production.

As with any aesthetic treatment, suitability and the results you can expect will vary from person to person.

Interested in finding out more about PRP and whether it could be suitable for you? Message us to book a consultation.
