Bowes House Care Home Our dedicated team provides high-quality residential, dementia, nursing and short-term respite care

The skilled team at Bowes House care home provides a wide range of services, from short respite stays through to full-time nursing and residential care, as well as specialist dementia care. The Hailsham home blends old and new, incorporating part of the old Victorian brewery buildings, dating from 1887 into a new-build facility. The home is divided into suites, each with its own lounge and dining

room, creating a 'community within a community'. The en-suite bedrooms have a flat-screen TV and 24-hour nurse call system. Ground-floor bedrooms open directly onto patios in the courtyard or garden. Outside, there are herbal, sensory and butterfly gardens, with plenty of seating to relax and spend time with friends and family on warmer days.

Today at Bowes House, we enjoyed a lovely trip to the local pub with some of the wonderful gentlemen from our home.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, great conversation, and the sharing of cherished memories over a refreshing drink. These special outings provide a fantastic opportunity to reminisce, socialise, and enjoy time together in the community.

It was a truly lovely afternoon, and we can’t wait for our next adventure! 💙

Today at Bowes House we enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane with a game of good old-fashioned Hook a Duck!🐥

The room was filled with laughter, smiles and a little friendly competition as everyone had a go. It was wonderful to see so much enjoyment.

We were delighted to host our bi-monthly professional's networking breakfast meeting this morning, it was a wonderful way to start the day and thank you to everyone who attended.

Thank you to guest speaker Elena Thompson from Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors for an informative talk on the importance of wills and powers of attorney!

Our next meeting is Tuesday 29th September at 8am, the meeting is free to attend and is open to local professionals, please contact the home to book your place!

🌺🌴 WHAT A DAY TO REMEMBER! 🌴🌺

Today at Bowes House, we celebrated our annual Summer Fête 2026 with a Hawaiian and tropical theme , and wow, what an incredible day it was! 🌺☀️🌴

We would like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to come along and support us. We are truly so grateful for every single person who joined us and helped make the day so special. 💛

We had an amazing day filled with vintage games, wonderful stalls, fantastic gifts and prizes, a raffle, a delicious BBQ, and even a bouncy castle! It was so lovely watching the children have fun and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces. 🎪🎁🍔🎟️

We were also incredibly lucky to enjoy a fantastic dance performance from the wonderful Holdance Dance School. You were absolutely brilliant, and we loved watching you perform! 💃🌟

This year, we were raising money for Alzheimer’s Society and the Stroke Association. We will be sharing the final amount raised very soon, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀💰

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. As the Lifestyle Lead at Bowes House, I am extremely grateful to work in such a beautiful home, surrounded by amazing staff and a wonderful Lifestyle Team. I truly could not have done it without any of you. 💕👏

Thank you for all your continued support. It was wonderful to see the smiles on our residents’ faces and to share such a special day with our families, friends, staff and the wider community.

What a day to remember! 🌺🌴☀️

Congratulations to our two very deserving Gem award winners for May, from our lifestyle team, Jackie, for being so passionate in her role and always going out of her way to make people happy.
