😎Thinking about watching the solar eclipse? Don’t risk your sight! 😎

Looking directly at the sun—even during a partial eclipse—can cause permanent, painless eye damage. Protect your vision by following these official safety guidelines from the College of Optometrists and the General Optical Council (GOC):

❌ What NOT to do:
Do NOT use regular sunglasses (no matter how dark they are!).
Do NOT look through cameras, binoculars, or telescopes.
Do NOT use homemade filters like CDs or film negatives.

✅ How to watch safely:
Use certified eclipse glasses with the ISO 12312-2 safety mark.
Check your eclipse glasses for any scratches or holes before putting them on.
Wear your eclipse glasses over your normal prescription spectacles.
Use a pinhole projector to view the eclipse indirectly.

👶 Parents:
Always supervise children closely to make sure their solar filters stay securely on!
