✈️ Well Travelled 🌿✨🌸🥰

Some of life’s best memories begin with a journey… but as parents, we also know that travelling can sometimes bring motion sickness, anxious little travellers, nervous flyers and long car journeys that seem to last forever!

Having lived abroad for almost 15 years, I’d like to think I’ve become pretty well travelled. Years of family flights, ferry crossings, road trips and airport adventures have certainly broadened my life skills—and inspired me to create natural aromatherapy remedies that genuinely support people on the move.

Whether you’re flying overseas, heading off on a UK staycation or simply setting off on a long drive, I can prepare bespoke aromatherapy remedies for both adults and children.

🌿 Travel & motion sickness
🚗 Car sickness & long car journeys
✈️ Flight anxiety & nervous flyers
💚 General travel anxiety
👂 Ear Ease – a bespoke roller ball for those prone to sore ears during take-off and landing

One of my favourite travel sickness blends combines Peppermint, Ginger and Mandarin—a beautifully fresh combination traditionally used to help ease feelings of nausea while helping you feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the journey.

Every remedy is individually prepared by me as a Clinical Aromatherapist, with children’s blends carefully adapted using age-appropriate dilutions and each recommendation tailored to your needs.

Because travelling should be about making memories—not worrying about how you’ll feel getting there. ✨

If you’re travelling this summer and would like more information, I’d love to help. Simply send me a message to discuss the most suitable remedy for you or your family.

🌿 Frankincense reminds us to slow down. To breathe deeply. To be present. It’s an oil I often return to when life feels relentless, encouraging moments of reflection, stillness and creating space before the evening slips away.

🌿 Vetiver is one of my favourite grounding oils. Rich, earthy and deeply reassuring, it helps anchor both body and mind, gently shifting us away from the busyness of the day and allowing the mind to wander somewhere softer, calmer and more creative.

🌸 Geranium Bourbon brings quiet strength. An oil I often choose when confidence feels a little shaken or emotions become unsettled. It offers warmth, emotional balance and a gentle reminder of our own resilience.

💜 Finally, lavender quietly brings everything together. Supporting the other oils, softening the edges of the day and gently preparing both mind and body for rest. Rather than taking centre stage, it allows the entire blend to work in harmony, encouraging you to relax into the latter part of your day with a little more ease.

Comfort has been created for those moments when you need to anchor yourself. The moments when the day has technically finished, but your mind hasn’t quite received the message.

The conversations. The responsibilities. The worries. The endless mental to-do list. The things you said, the things you didn’t say and the things you need to remember tomorrow.

We all have those days where it feels as though life has taken more from us than we had available to give, and by the end of the day we’re left feeling mentally, emotionally and physically drained.

This is where your Comfort blend comes in.

Not to take the challenges away, but to help soften the weight of them and create space for rest, reflection and restoration.

At the heart of this blend is Vetiver (*Vetiveria zizanoides*), one of the most deeply grounding oils within aromatherapy. Whilst many people know Vetiver for its ability to anchor the mind and body, I also love it for its ability to inspire new thinking and create space, escapism for the mind.

Sometimes when we’re carrying too much, what we need isn’t to think harder. We need to think differently. We need to move away from the mental to-do list and into something more creative, more nourishing and more restorative.

Supporting Vetiver is Frankincense (*Boswellia carterii*), a beautiful oil traditionally associated with reflection, stillness and deeper breathing.

Geranium Bourbon (*Pelargonium graveolens* var. *Bourbon*) brings warmth, emotional balance and resilience to the blend. It is one of my favourite oils for reminding us of our strength whilst still allowing space for softness and self-compassion.

Lavender (*Lavandula angustifolia*) gently weaves throughout the blend, bringing harmony to all of the ingredients and supporting the transition from activity into rest.

I’d describe Comfort as a feeling rather than a blend. It’s a warm weighted blanket around your shoulders.

A coffee with your best friend.
A FaceTime call with a loved one you haven’t seen in far too long.

It’s that feeling of being safe, supported and able to exhale. Think of the people, places and memories that bring you comfort.

Pause has a very special story behind it.

Throughout my clinical aromatherapy diploma and subsequent practice, I found myself repeatedly returning to three particular oils. I used to call them the three Ps, and I am so happy that I eventually found the name Pause to bring them together. This blend was created for those moments in the day when your nervous system is on edge. You’re starting to feel panicked. The butterflies are appearing in your stomach. There’s something ahead of you that you’re dreading, whether that’s a presentation, a difficult conversation, a busy meeting, or simply having to drive somewhere unfamiliar and find somewhere to park. (I’m certainly guilty of that one.)
It may also be for those moments when you’re caring for others; your children, a loved one, a parent, and you simply need a moment to step back, gather yourself and give your nervous system a little hug.Life doesn’t stop because we reach for a Pocket Remedy. The challenges remain. But what it can do is encourage us to pause before reacting, to breathe before responding, and to create a little space between ourselves and the overwhelm. At the heart of this blend is Petitgrain, one of my favourite oils for supporting a busy, overstimulated nervous system. It is an oil I return to time and time again when thoughts are racing and feelings of panic or nervousness begin to creep in.
Patchouli offers a deeply grounding influence, helping to centre both mind and body and bring us back to the present moment when everything feels a little too much.
Alongside these sits Palmarosa, one of the most nurturing oils I know. Gentle, comforting and reassuring, it feels like a supportive hand on your shoulder when you need it most.Whether it’s before the school run, before a difficult conversation, before walking into a meeting, or simply during an ordinary day that feels unexpectedly overwhelming, Pause offers a gentle reminder that you are allowed to slow down.
It could be that taking a breath is just enough.🌸✨🌸

As I prepare the first batches of Awaken, I find myself thinking about why I chose these particular oils.
I’ve always been drawn to the lighter, brighter oils. The ones that seem to lift the mind and create space where there wasn’t any before.
Juniper berry takes me straight to towering pine trees and long walks where the air feels cleaner somehow. Peppermint reminds me of being a child, rubbing the leaves between my fingers in my Mum’s garden and breathing in that unmistakable freshness. Cardamom brings back memories of travelling, discovering beautiful balms and remedies in the Maldives and being fascinated by how such a tiny seed could carry such a distinctive aroma. Rosemary has always been one of my favourites. To this day, picking a sprig from my Dad’s garden for a Sunday roast instantly makes me feel brighter, more present and somehow more awake.
As a Clinical Aromatherapist, I understand the chemistry behind these oils and why they can support concentration, mental clarity and focus. But if I’m honest, I think part of what makes them so special is the memories they carry too.
Perhaps that’s why Awaken feels so familiar to me.
It’s not just a blend. It’s a collection of plants I have returned to time and time again throughout my life.🌲🌲🌲

The Story Behind the Pocket Remedies

Throughout my many years working within the wellness industry, and particularly throughout my Clinical Aromatherapy Diploma and subsequent practice, I have found myself returning to the same observation time and time again.

We are tired.
We are overwhelmed.
We are carrying far more than we were ever designed to carry.

As a Clinical Aromatherapist, I spend much of my time listening. Listening to what people are experiencing physically, emotionally and mentally, and then considering how the unique chemistry of essential oils may offer support.

These blends have not been created overnight. They have been carefully considered through years of study, client consultations, my own personal experiences and countless observations of the challenges that so many of us are facing.

Each oil has been chosen with intention. Each recipe has been designed with a purpose in mind.

Whilst no essential oil can remove life’s challenges, and I would never suggest that it can, what they can offer is something incredibly valuable: a moment to pause, reflect, breathe and reconnect with ourselves.

This is where having a little pocket remedy close to hand can be so powerful.

The inspiration behind these blends comes not only from my clinical practice, but also from my own experiences and from the experiences of friends and loved ones who have used aromatherapy as a simple but meaningful tool to support them through everyday life.

Sometimes we don’t have time for a consultation.
Sometimes we don’t have time for a massage.
Sometimes we simply need a reminder to breathe.

That is where these simple but oh so effective Pocket Remedies began.🌸✨
