We’ve started Dementia Awareness Week off in a wonderful way here in Halstead 💙

We are incredibly proud to have a beautiful display at St Andrew’s Church featuring the handmade knitted forget-me-nots created by people from all around the country on behalf of Sconch. A huge thank you goes to every single knitter who contributed — we think the display looks absolutely amazing and what a fantastic way to begin the week by raising awareness of dementia and showing support for those living with the condition. 💙

There’s plenty more happening throughout the week too!

🎶 On Wednesday, our Dementia Friendly Choir will be performing a Spring Concert at the Halstead Empire Theatre 11-12.30, with Gosfield School also taking part. The concert is completely free and everyone is welcome to attend!

🎉 On Friday, we have the ‘Living Well with Dementia Day’ at Queen’s Hall, Halstead from 10am–3pm. Please come along for fun-filled activities, information, advice and support from a range of wonderful organisations.

We are extremely proud to be part of the Halstead Dementia Friendly Project, helping to raise awareness and make Halstead a truly dementia friendly and inclusive community for everyone. 💙

Today, on International Nurses Day, we are proud to celebrate not only our incredible nursing team here at Colne View, but also the wonderful residents within our home who dedicated their lives to nursing and caring for others 💙

Nursing is a profession built on compassion, kindness, resilience and dedication, and today we recognise the enormous difference nurses make every single day to the lives of so many people.

To our current nurses — thank you for the exceptional care, comfort and support you provide to residents and families.

And to our residents who once wore the nursing uniform with pride — we honour your years of service, commitment and the lasting legacy you have left through your care of others.

As part of today’s celebrations, we were also delighted to deliver a cream tea to the wonderful nurses at Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery to thank them for their continued hard work, dedication and support to Colne View residents.

Our own nursing team here at Colne View were also presented with flowers as a small token of appreciation for everything they do each and every day 💐
