We’ve started Dementia Awareness Week off in a wonderful way here in Halstead 💙

We are incredibly proud to have a beautiful display at St Andrew’s Church featuring the handmade knitted forget-me-nots created by people from all around the country on behalf of Sconch. A huge thank you goes to every single knitter who contributed — we think the display looks absolutely amazing and what a fantastic way to begin the week by raising awareness of dementia and showing support for those living with the condition. 💙

There’s plenty more happening throughout the week too!

🎶 On Wednesday, our Dementia Friendly Choir will be performing a Spring Concert at the Halstead Empire Theatre 11-12.30, with Gosfield School also taking part. The concert is completely free and everyone is welcome to attend!

🎉 On Friday, we have the ‘Living Well with Dementia Day’ at Queen’s Hall, Halstead from 10am–3pm. Please come along for fun-filled activities, information, advice and support from a range of wonderful organisations.

We are extremely proud to be part of the Halstead Dementia Friendly Project, helping to raise awareness and make Halstead a truly dementia friendly and inclusive community for everyone. 💙

As part of the Dementia Awareness Week we were thrilled to attend the Turning The World Around Concert performed The Headingham Singers supported by Halstead Rotary and featuring Dennis, watched by his wife and a few friends. We had truly wonderful time and the Headingham Singers were amazing 👏 ☺️
