🌞 Celebrating Our Amazing Teams and Their Families 🌞

Over the summer, we were delighted to host three staff BBQ events across West Lothian, Newmains and Hamilton as a way of thanking our dedicated colleagues and their families for everything they do throughout the year.

The events provided a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together outside of work, catch up with colleagues, strengthen connections, and enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends.

Of course, no BBQ would be complete without great food, and we were treated to an amazing selection that was enjoyed by all. The delicious food, sunshine, laughter, and great company helped make each event a wonderful success.

We are incredibly grateful for the commitment, compassion and hard work our teams demonstrate every day. These summer celebrations were a small token of our appreciation for the difference they make to the people we support and to one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such memorable days. We are proud to have such dedicated teams at the heart of our organisation and look forward to many more opportunities to come together and celebrate our successes.

Are you a caring, reliable and compassionate person who wants to make a real difference in people's lives?

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our Supported Living team in Scotland. This role involves supporting adults to live independently within their own homes and communities while promoting choice, dignity and inclusion.

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs. No two days are the same, and you will play a key role in helping people live fulfilling and independent lives.

Duties may include:
Supporting individuals with daily living tasks
Assisting with personal care where required
Encouraging independence and social inclusion
Supporting attendance at appointments and activities
Medication support
Maintaining accurate records and reporting
Building positive relationships with service users, families and colleagues

What We're Looking For
We welcome applicants who are:
Kind, patient and respectful
Reliable and flexible
Good communicators with a positive attitude
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about supporting others
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Requirements

PVG membership (or willingness to join)

April Stress Awareness Events – Launched! 💙
On Friday, we officially launched our April Stress Awareness events, starting in West Lothian. This gave our staff the opportunity to come together, take a moment to check in with one another, and focus on wellbeing.
With coffee, cake, and good conversation, it was a lovely chance to pause, connect, and support each other. Thank you to everyone who took part — we’re looking forward to bringing these check‑ins to more areas very soon.

Last week, we marked World Kidney Day by raising awareness of the importance of kidney health and early detection. Our kidneys play a vital role in keeping us healthy every day — yet kidney disease often goes unnoticed until it becomes serious.
At Care1, we are committed to learning, awareness, and providing the best support possible. Last week, our team took part in an information session focused on kidney health, risk factors, prevention, and how we can better support individuals living with kidney conditions.
