…..and you spend hours trying to get the spark going.
You tell yourself, “Come on… just start.” You make another cup of tea, you scroll, you stand up, you sit back down.
You wait for motivation to arrive, but it never does.
So in walks shame, dragging frustration, guilt and a lovely little side serving of “I’m failing at life.”
Because the reality is…right now, you can’t even start the washing up.
Then your brain jumps ten steps ahead to “What sort of role model am I being for my kids?”
The shame gets louder. Your inner critic gets meaner.
Then you make a deal with yourself: “Tomorrow…..tomorrow I’ll get my s**z (and life) together.”
But the truth? Tomorrow can become the next day…..and the next and so on and so forth!
Not because you’re lazy or you don’t care.
But because you’re exhausted from trying to think your way out of procrastination when the real problem isn’t a lack of motivation…it’s a neurodivergent brain, exhausted nervous system that’s been running on empty for far too long during a hormonal s**zstorm!!!
