Hi All

As you may be aware, we recently shared an update advising that the phlebotomy service had been withdrawn from our surgery, as well as from other surgeries across Harlow.

We have now received confirmation that the phlebotomy service will be reinstated and will resume as normal from Monday, 17 August.

We are pleased to be able to share this update with our patients and thank you for your patience and understanding during this temporary disruption.

Important Update: Changes to Phlebotomy Services

We regret to inform you that we have been advised that the phlebotomy (blood testing) service at Nuffield House Doctors Surgery has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

As a result, patients requiring blood tests will now need to book an appointment through the Swift Queue online booking system www.pah.nhs.uk will take patients to the hospitals services to book an appointment for a blood test online. Appointments are available at the Harvey Centre in Harlow, as well as other nearby locations, including St. Margaret’s Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford.

Patients who do not have access to the online booking service can contact Princess Alexandra Hospital directly on 01279 827163 to arrange an appointment. The telephone booking line is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, excluding bank holidays.

We understand that this is an unexpected change to our services at Nuffield House Doctors Surgery. We sincerely apologise for the short notice and any disruption this may cause. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this change.

We are currently experiencing issues with our E-Consult service. This is currently being investigated and we are hoping to have it up and running as soon as possible. For now you can call our reception team on 01279 213101 to request any on the day appointments for the time being.

We will hopefully update you shortly.
