How many times have you tried to lose weight quickly, only to find yourself starting again a few months later?
It’s tempting to cut your food right down and squeeze in more workouts when you want results.
But if your plan leaves you exhausted, constantly hungry and cancelling meals out, it’s going to be difficult to keep up.
A bigger drop on the scales doesn’t automatically mean a better week.
Your strength, energy, recovery and ability to enjoy your life matter too.
And a week where your weight stays the same doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t losing fat.
Your cycle, water retention and digestion can all affect that number.
Give yourself time to follow a sensible plan before deciding it isn’t working.
Eat enough to support your training.
Keep your routine realistic.
Look at your progress over several weeks, rather than letting one weigh-in dictate your next move.
The goal is to make changes you can maintain, without feeling like you’re permanently counting down until the diet ends.
