What I do - I see people who have been affected by an experience in the perinatal period and require some emotional support. This can be fertility issues, pregnancy loss and subsequent pregnancies, anxiety, birth trauma or postnatal issues. I worked as a Midwife for 22 years prior to commencing this therapeutic role in 2022.
Where and when are appointments available? I am lucky enough to be able to work with the wonderful team and have face to face appointments available on a Wednesday and Friday. On other days I have online appointments available for those that live further away or it is simply more convenient.
There are 3 other directors for Taking Baby Steps and we have been awarded numerous grants over the years to help with costs for clients.

In March I relocated to .hgt new site and have welcomed many clients here for face to face appointments in the beautiful building. This is situated just up the road from the original Cocoon building which is where the Pregnancy section is still located. Face to face sessions are available here on Wednesdays and Fridays with online appointments on other days.

A quick summary of one to one support provided. Face to face appointments are available 2 days a week .hgt and online appointments are available on other days. Funding is in place for those that have experienced a pregnancy loss for up to four sessions. Funding is also in place to enable a large discount for those that have experienced birth trauma. The next Peer Support Group will be Wednesday 15th April, 7.30pm-9pm.
The group is open to parents, grandparents, healthcare professionals, and anyone who has been affected by birth trauma. This may be a loss, birth injury, a difficult pregnancy or postpartum experience, or challenges related to subsequent fertility.
Our aim is to offer a safe, open and gentle space to provide ongoing support for those affected by the above, which can be incredibly isolating.

Todays Huge Thank You goes to , Darren, Jack & Tobias and for holding a Danceathon recently. An amazing sum of £4557.72 was raised, split between Taking Baby Steps and . Starting next Wednesday. This will be a small, welcoming group looking at how to move on from an experience of Birth or Perinatal Trauma. This is a peer support group with past clients of Taking Baby Steps hoping to help others.
