So I gently encouraged 😉🤭 my husband to join me on an introduction to the Wim Hof method yesterday. I’ve been so keen to learn how to do exposure to extreme cold so thought best to get some proper instruction first. I feel so blessed to have found and have the amazing guidance of Jim and Nat. It was a brilliant day!!! We started by learning about the fundamental pillars of the Wim Hof method, breathwork (which I LOVE) and then the most beautiful sound bath 🎶 It was then onto the ice bath 🥶 (Tom actually double dipped - my warrior of a husband!) Tom’s pain in his right hip has gone!!!! ✨✨✨ Love LOVE love!!! Hoping to come in October to your next session in York.

WHAT A DAY!!! I mean….BreathWork! ✨

I use my breath to help with anxiety and stress and within my aromatherapy practices but I have NEVER experienced anything quite as amazing of what .0 and delivered to us today. 🙌

I couldn’t have asked for a better group of women to train along side. My teachers are kind, knowledgeable and caring souls. The space they held for us today was informed, attentive and relaxed. As an added ‘brucie bonus’ it was a lovely surprise to see the fabulous Andree too and catch up.

👀 Watch this space! I CAN NOT wait to share the BreakThrough BreathWork techniques 🥰🥰🥰

Excited doesn’t cover it! I’m exhausted but such a giddy kipper to get started! I’m looking forward to learning all the theory and science behind it now I’ve experienced it so I can share space and help people feel as fabulous as I do! Xx

p.s I can’t end this without a little shout out to my bestest buddy for taking me over to Halifax for the practical so I could chill and throw myself into the day! 🥰 Love you!

💭Do you often find yourself dwelling on the negative aspects of life? Do you feel hopeless, anxious, or depressed? 😩 If so, you are not alone. Many people struggle with negative thinking, which can have a detrimental impact on their mental health and well-being.

But the good news 🙌 is that you can change your mindset and retrain your brain for positivity. Positive thinking is not about ignoring reality or pretending that everything is perfect. It is about choosing to focus on the good in every situation, and finding ways to cope with the challenges that life throws at you.

Positive thinking can improve your mental health by reducing your risk of depression, managing stress, and enhancing your happiness. It can also boost your physical health by strengthening your immune system, lowering your blood pressure, and increasing your longevity.

So how can you practice positive thinking and retrain your brain for positivity? I am going to share some of the practices I have learnt in the coming days….the great news is that there are healthy habits that you can adopt to cultivate a more optimistic outlook on life! 🥳

Positive thinking is not a magic bullet that will solve all your problems, but it is a powerful tool that can help you improve your mental and physical health, cope with stress and adversity, and achieve your goals and dreams.

By practicing the habits of noticing, challenging, and affirming your thoughts, expressing gratitude, and learning from the experts, you can retrain your brain for positivity and enjoy a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

Remember, you have the power to change your mindset and your reality. All you need is a little bit of practice and a lot of positivity. 😊

As I recently turned 40, I started paying attention to my mental health and the way I think and feel. I’ve been researching and studying the way our core beliefs and the ‘story’ we tell ourselves every day shapes our reality. According to Dr. Tara Swart Bieber, a neuroscientist and author, the subconscious mind is where our mind stores all its memories, experiences, concepts, insights, and perceptions long after our conscious mind has forgotten them.

Our core beliefs and the ‘story’ we tell ourselves every day can have a significant impact on our subconscious mind and, in turn, our behaviour and actions.

Research suggests that an average person has more than 6,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative, and 95% are repetitive thoughts as the day before. These thoughts can be influenced by our core beliefs and the ‘story’ we tell ourselves every day. By acknowledging our beliefs and taking control of our thoughts, we can change our behaviour and shape our reality.

It’s essential to understand that our subconscious mind is more powerful than our conscious mind. It can process billions of bits of information per second, most of which we are not even aware of. Therefore, it’s crucial to take care of our mental health and well-being by prioritising rest, nutrition, hydration, exercise, and mindfulness.

In conclusion, our subconscious mind plays a vital role in shaping our reality. By acknowledging our core beliefs and the ‘story’ we tell ourselves every day, we can take control of our thoughts and shape our behaviour. It’s essential to prioritise our mental health and well-being by taking care of our body and mind.

10 TRUTHS TO PASS DOWN

1. Nobody has the perfect life, nobody. Perfection is a myth. Chase what feels good not what looks good to others.
2. Most stuff we worry about doesn’t actually matter. Long term it’s our relationships, our achievements and our adventures that will stay with us.
3. Clinging onto past hurts is one of life’s biggest and unseen dangers - learning to let go is the key to peace.
4. Your body is an amazing thing that will bring you amazing joy if you let it. Your relationship with it should be one of the highest on your list. You are a team, look after it and respect it.
5. Integrity is your biggest superpower in this world. Do the right thing when nobody’s looking and you’ll face yourself in the mirror with a smile every day.
6. Waiting until it’s ‘the right time’ to do something you really want to do is a dangerous game. Seize life and live every moment. The time will never be quite right.
7. If you make work your life, you’re making your life hard work.
8. Balance. Balance is the most important key word in life. Walk the middle road and you will always have room to move both ways.
9. That little voice inside of you that speaks up when something feels off - listen to it. It is never wrong.
10. Your self-esteem should NEVER be in anyone else’s hands. No matter how charming or attractive they may be.YOU decide how good you are. YOU decide you are enough, more than enough. No one, and I mean no one can shake that tower if you decide to build it strongly enough. Do it, it will be your best achievement.
