🤠🌾 You’re Invited to a Western-Themed Summer Harbourfest Garden Party! 🌾🤠

The Granby and The Granby Rose are coming together to celebrate in style for our much-anticipated Summer Harbourfest Garden Party – Western themed and full of entertainment, food, and fun for all!

📅 Friday 21st August 2026
🕛 From 12pm onwards
Reserve your place for our BBQ Food and drinks before 10th August.

We kick off at 12pm with a hearty BBQ lunch and refreshing drinks as we take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere.

🎤 **Entertainment Schedule:**
• 1pm–2pm – Live singer (TBC)
• 2pm–3pm – Professional dancers
• 3pm – Pony visit (TBC)
ice cream van throughout.

📍 Location
Weather dependent – we hope to host you in front of The Granby Care Home, or alternatively inside The Granby Ballroom

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families, friends, and community guests welcome!
If you’re planning to join us for the BBQ, we kindly ask for £5 per person Family and friends only for BBQ reservations .

🎟️ Please note: BBQ tickets are required for food and drinks and must be collected from reception in advance.

📅 **RSVP by 10th August** to reserve your place.

Community friends are warmly welcome to come along and enjoy the entertainment throughout the day.

🌸 One-to-One Flower Arranging Activity 🌺

By Using a variety of brightly coloured flowers, our resident Irene spent time touching, exploring, and arranging the blooms into a beautiful display, to brighten up her bed side.

Flower arranging is a wonderful sensory activity that encourages creativity and provides opportunities to engage the senses through different colours, textures, shapes, and scents. Handling flowers and combining them into arrangements can be both calming and enjoyable.

Sensory activities like this can be particularly beneficial for people living with dementia, cognitive impairments, or sight loss, helping to stimulate the senses, encourage focus, support wellbeing, and create meaningful moments of enjoyment.

🐾 The best therapy comes with four paws and a wagging tail! We’ve really missed our PAT dog Peggy and Jessica these last few weeks. We’re delighted to be back to our Wednesday visits and enjoying our weekly dose of puppy cuddles and companionship. ❤️

We love days where our gents get hands on and involved in something they wouldn’t usually try. Robert gave paper mâché a go today… safe to say it started off sensible and ended in pure creativity! 🎨😂
