As we enter World Alzheimer's Month the team at Littleport Grange, Ely have transformed the home's entrance with a beautiful, themed display to raise awareness and mark the start of an important month! 💜

The display features creative purple pinwheels, an acrostic pledge for compassionate dementia care, and a full calendar of activities lined up for residents throughout September.

A day out with a little history at Three Elms 🚁

Residents from Three Elms Care Home in Penketh, Warrington recently headed out for a visit to RAF Burtonwood/USAAF Station 590 Memories.

Getting out and about gives residents opportunities to explore interesting places, enjoy a change of scenery and create new experiences together.

☀ Summer Fete Highlights from Grenville Court, Norwich

Grenville Court recently welcomed residents, families, friends and the local community for its fourth annual Summer Fete. The home was bustling with live music, craft stalls, food vendors and children's amusements, giving everyone plenty to see, do and enjoy together.

For our residents, one of the loveliest parts of the day was simply being at the heart of it all, enjoying the entertainment, browsing the stalls, chatting with visitors and spending quality time with family and friends. ❤️

The occasion raised an incredible £1,900.73 for Grenville Court's Residents' Activity Fund, which will go towards more activities and experiences for residents to enjoy throughout the year.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, helped organise or contributed to such a successful day.

“The best day ever!” 🐴❤️

That was Andrea and Eileen's verdict after a very special outing to My Life, enjoyed by residents from Greenacres care home in Standish, Wigan.

Residents spent the afternoon enjoying tea alongside the ponies and members of the Greenacres team, and judging by the conversations back at the home afterwards, it was a resounding success. Sometimes a change of scenery, good company and a few new four-legged friends are all it takes to create memories residents keep talking about for days.

Thank you to everyone who helped make such a lovely outing possible.

There's a full stretch of beach in the lounge at Holcroft Grange this week: real sand, deckchairs, an inflatable dolphin, a very pink flamingo, and a sandcastle with its own tiny Union Jack 🏖️

The costume competition was a highlight: paper cutouts coloured in by residents and staff themselves, held up like prize entries. Eight took part, and no two looked the same.

A picnic of ice creams and doughnuts followed, along with a few paper seagulls keeping watch from the ceiling, the only kind that never try to steal your chips 🍦

Lucy rounded off the afternoon with a live singalong set everyone already knew the words to.
