💙 As part of Volunteers' Week, we were delighted to celebrate and thank our incredible volunteers for the time, care and dedication they bring to Mind in Harrow.

Our volunteer celebration event was a wonderful opportunity to come together, connect, share updates on our services, explore future opportunities and, most importantly, recognise the invaluable contribution our volunteers make to our community.

Thank you for everything you do. 💙

We sat down with two of our dedicated helpline volunteers to learn more about their experiences supporting Mind in Harrow.

From what they've gained through volunteering to the moments that have stayed with them and the advice they'd give to others considering volunteering, their reflections highlight the impact volunteering can have on both individuals and the wider community.

Thank you to both volunteers for sharing their experiences and for the compassion, commitment and support they bring to our helpline service. 💙

As part of Volunteers' Week, I sat down with Darnish to talk about his volunteering journey, what inspired him to get involved, and what volunteering means to him.

We're grateful for the time, commitment and positivity our volunteers bring to Mind in Harrow every day.

Thank you, Darnish, for sharing your story and for everything you do. 💙

Our volunteers help make so much of what we do possible. Whether they're supporting events, helping behind the scenes, welcoming people to groups, sharing their lived experience or lending a listening ear, their contribution makes a real difference to our community.

Thank you to every volunteer who helps create a more supportive and connected Harrow. Your kindness, dedication and commitment do not go unnoticed.

Happy Volunteers' Week from all of us at Mind in Harrow 💙

A gentle Bank Holiday Monday reminder ☀️

With the hot weather continuing, try to take things a little more slowly today where you can. Heat can leave many of us feeling more tired, overwhelmed or irritable than usual, especially when routines are already busy.

Drink plenty of water, rest when you need to, and be kind to yourself if your energy feels lower than normal.

Whatever your plans look like today, we hope you’re able to find a small moment to pause and take care of yourself.

Today is World Meditation Day.

Meditation doesn’t have to mean sitting perfectly still or clearing your mind completely. For many of us, it can simply be a quiet moment to pause, breathe and reconnect with ourselves.

Even a few slow breaths can help create a sense of calm in a busy or overwhelming day.

There’s no “right” way to slow down. What matters is finding moments that help you feel more grounded and supported.

Mental health doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.
Sometimes it looks like carrying on with the day while feeling overwhelmed.
Sometimes it’s cancelling plans or feeling exhausted by small tasks.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to make more space for honest conversations - not just about crisis, but about the quieter moments people carry every day.

You never fully know what someone else is dealing with.
A little kindness can go a long way.
