With the Bank Holiday coming up, it's a good time to check you have enough of any essential medications to get you through the long weekend, when GP surgeries will be closed.

Most surgeries require at least 3 working days, and your local pharmacy may not be able to dispense the medicine straight away depending on how busy they are and what they have in stock, so please plan accordingly.

The NHS App makes it quick and easy to request your medications any time.

A local GP surgery is one of the best in the country, according to the national GP Patient Surgery. An amazing 99 per cent of patients of the Groombridge and Hartfield Medical Group rated it "fairly good" or "very good" in the survey. There was good news, too, for Crowborough's Beacon Surgery which scored 90 per cent. Read more: https://crowborough.news/gp-patient-survey-how-did-our-surgeries-do/

With high temperatures again this week, keep an eye out on little ones who may struggle to keep themselves cool.

Plenty of water, keeping indoors or in shade during the hottest part of the day and ensuring they're wearing SPF 50 are our top tips 😎

If you're worried, you can call NHS 111 at any time, day or night.

⭐The 2026 GP Patient Survey results have been published, and we are delighted to share another outstanding set of results.

Once again, we scored above both the national and local (ICS) averages across every area of the survey.

Here are just a few of this year's highlights:

📞 93% found it easy to get through to the practice by phone (National: 57% | ICS: 55%)

😊 99% found our reception and administrative team helpful (National: 85% | ICS: 86%)

💬 96% described their experience of contacting the practice as good (National: 73% | ICS: 73%)

🌟 99% described their overall experience of the practice as good (National: 77% | ICS: 78%)

👂 99% said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them (National: 87% | ICS: 88%)

❤️ 99% said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to treated them with care and concern (National: 86% | ICS: 88%)

🤝 100% had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to (National: 93% | ICS: 94%)

🗣️ 100% felt involved in decisions about their care and treatment (National: 92% | ICS: 93%)

✅ 100% felt their needs were met during their appointment (National: 90% | ICS: 91%)

As general practice continues to evolve and demand for services increases, these results mean a great deal to us. While much of what happens behind the scenes isn't always visible, every single member of our team plays an important role in supporting our patients and keeping the practice running.

It's incredibly rewarding to know that our patients recognise the care, dedication and hard work our team puts in every day. We are immensely proud of our staff and grateful to everyone who took the time to complete the survey and share their feedback.

You can view more of our results in the images below or see the full survey here: https://www.gp-patient.co.uk/
