Wow... I am still in shock! 😍❤️

To be named the winner of the Community Impact Award at the Hartlepool Heroes Awards 2026 is something I never imagined.

Thank you to every single person who nominated, voted, supported, referred, encouraged, and believed in me along the way.

This award represents so much more than me. It represents every family I've sat alongside, every young person who found their voice, every school that opened its doors, and every student counsellor who has helped provide thousands of hours of free therapy to our community 🙏🏼❤️.

My passion has always been to make support accessible to those who need it most, and this award reminds me why I started this journey.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️ Hartlepool, you'll always be home.

I am honestly so overwhelmed and grateful to share that I have been shortlisted for the 🏆 Community Impact Award at the Hartlepool Heroes 2026 Awards.

Thank you so much to everyone who has nominated, voted, supported and believed in me and the work we do through Reflection Room Therapy Service 🥹❤️.

This recognition feels incredibly special because it is not just about me, it reflects the collective impact being made within our community alongside the amazing counselling students completing placements with us. Together, we have now provided over 1,000 hours of free therapy support to children, young people, adults and families across Hartlepool and the North East 💪🏼.

I also want to say a huge thank you to HartlePower, High Tunstall College of Science, D**e House Sports & Technology College and IncludEd Education Solutions for believing in this vision and allowing counselling students to provide free therapeutic support within schools. Your support has helped create safe spaces for children and young people to be heard, understood and supported at times when they have needed it most.

Watching students grow in confidence whilst simultaneously increasing access to mental health support within our community is something I feel deeply passionate about. Every hour of support provided represents somebody feeling less alone, more understood, and given the opportunity to heal 🙏🏼.

Supporting schools, families, children and professionals through trauma and attachment informed work is something incredibly close to my heart, and I feel privileged every single day to do this work 📚 👩🏼‍🎓👩🏼‍🏫.

A huge thank you to The PFC Trust, Hartlepool Carers and Hartlepool Borough Council for this recognition, and congratulations to everyone else shortlisted. Hartlepool truly has some amazing people making a difference every day 💛

We’re really proud to be partnering with IncludEd 💜

At Reflection Room Therapy Service, making support accessible to families is at the heart of what we do. Through this collaboration, children, young people and parents connected to IncludEd can now access counselling in a safe, relational and compassionate space, delivered by trainee counsellors under clinical supervision.

Together we’re strengthening emotional wellbeing around the whole family not just education, but life.

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve developed our IncludEd offer even further. 💜

Through a new partnership with the wonderful Reflection Room Therapy Service, children, young people and parents connected to IncludEd can now access free counselling support.

This partnership means families accessing IncludEd have an additional layer of therapeutic support available to them, helping to strengthen emotional wellbeing, relationships and resilience alongside our provision.

Therapeutic sessions will be delivered by trainee student counsellors under clinical supervision. All counsellors:

✨ Are trauma and attachment informed

✨ Work in a neurodiversity-affirming way

✨ Have experience supporting a wide range of mental health and emotional wellbeing needs

✨ Work fully insured, ethically, and in line with safeguarding standards

This collaboration truly reflects our shared ethos and values – inclusion, relational practice, and giving back to the community – and we’re incredibly proud to be working together to support our children and families.

This is another step forward in ensuring our families feel supported, heard and cared for – not just in education, but in life 💜
