🍒🍓 Smoothie bowls have become one of my favourite breakfasts at the minute!

Today’s bowl was cherry & strawberry and it keeps me full for hours.

🥣 I used:
✅ Natural Nutrients Strawberry Protein
✅ 1 tbsp chia seeds
✅ Handful of spinach
✅ Half a pot of frozen cherries
✅ 100ml unsweetened soya milk
✅ Ice

I also added my daily extras:
💚 CreaGlow
💚 natural nutrients Greens powder
💚 biomel.life powder

Then topped it with:
🍒 The remaining blueberries
🍓 Fresh strawberries
🥜 1 tbsp mixed nuts
🌱 1 tbsps pumpkin seed

This is packed with protein, fibre and healthy fats to help keep you satisfied, support muscle recovery and feed your gut microbiome.

The best part? You can swap the fruit around depending on what’s in your freezer. Blueberries, raspberries, mango or mixed berries all work brilliantly too.

Who else is obsessed with smoothie bowls at the moment? 😍

Constipation on GLP-1 medication? It might not be as simple as “eat more fibre.”

One of the most common complaints I hear from clients taking GLP-1 medications is constipation.

The first piece of advice they’re often given is:

“Just eat more fibre.”

The problem is, many people have already tried that… and they’re still struggling.

Not all fibre behaves in the same way, and when your appetite is significantly reduced, you’re eating much less food overall. Less food means less bulk moving through the gut, while GLP-1 medications naturally slow digestion as part of how they work.

That’s why it’s even more important to focus on quality nutrition, not just eating “more fibre.”

At DPP Nutrition, our plans are naturally high in fibre and high in protein, using real foods that support digestive health, muscle maintenance and long-term weight management.

We don’t just hand you a meal plan…

We teach you:
🥦 How to build balanced meals
🥩 How much protein your body actually needs
🌾 How to increase fibre gradually using everyday foods
🥑 How to portion healthy fats and carbohydrates
🥣 Portion control that becomes second nature

This is especially important if you’re planning to come off a GLP-1.

Many people regain weight because they’ve relied solely on the medication without learning the eating habits needed to maintain their results.

Our Pot Plan teaches simple portion sizes that you can use for life—whether you’re taking a GLP-1, reducing your dose or have stopped altogether.

Medication can be an excellent tool.

But lasting success comes from building habits that stay with you long after the injections have finished.

💙 High protein.
💙 High fibre.
💙 Real food.
💙 Simple portion control.
💙 Sustainable results.

That’s what DPP Nutrition is all about.

🍓 2-Ingredient Chia Berry Jam 🫐

This is one of my favourite healthy swaps!

Perfect on wholemeal toast, stirred into Greek yogurt, on overnight oats or even as a topping for porridge.

Ingredients
✔️ 200g strawberries, raspberries or mixed berries
✔️ 2 tbsp chia seeds

Method

1. Blend the berries until smooth (or leave chunky if you prefer).
2. Stir in the chia seeds.
3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) until thickened.

No added sugar. No preservatives. Just real food. 💙

🌱 Why it’s so good for your gut

✅ Rich in soluble fibre – chia seeds absorb water to form a gel, which can help support regular bowel movements and feed beneficial gut bacteria.

✅ Great for the gut microbiome – the fibre acts as a prebiotic, helping nourish the bacteria that produce beneficial short-chain fatty acids linked to gut and immune health.

✅ Naturally lower in sugar than shop-bought jams, helping to reduce blood sugar spikes.

✅ Packed with antioxidants from the berries, which may help reduce inflammation and support overall health.

💙 What about IBS?

Many people with IBS tolerate chia seeds really well because they’re low FODMAP in sensible portions and rich in soluble fibre, which can be gentler on the gut than some other fibres.

If you have IBS:
✔️ Start with a small serving if you’re not used to high-fibre foods.
✔️ Drink plenty of water, as chia seeds absorb lots of liquid.
✔️ If you’re following a strict low FODMAP diet, choose berries that fit your tolerance and portion guidelines.

It’s such a simple recipe but one that’s packed with fibre, omega-3 fats and plant compounds that support a healthy gut. Sometimes the simplest foods really are the most powerful. 💙

💛 A little space for women who understand…

Over the past year, I’ve met several ladies in their 40s, 50s and 60s who have sadly lost their husband or partner.

And so many have told me the same thing…

They can feel incredibly alone.

Some have tried bereavement or social groups, but have found the people attending are often much older and at a very different stage of life.

Losing your partner when you’re still working, raising a family, trying to stay active or simply figuring out what life looks like now can bring its own challenges.

So I’ve set up a simple WhatsApp support group for women who have lost their partner or husband. 💛

There’s no pressure and no expectations. Just somewhere you can connect with other women who genuinely understand, have a chat, introduce yourself when you feel ready and hopefully feel a little less alone.

Maybe it becomes somewhere to talk, support each other, arrange a coffee or a walk, or simply know there are other women out there going through something similar.

Please feel free to join and introduce yourself whenever you’re ready.

I really hope this little group helps. 💛

😴 SLEEP: The Most Overlooked Fat Loss Tool

Eating well. ✅
Training hard. ✅
Still struggling to lose body fat? 🤔

The missing piece might be your sleep.

Poor sleep doesn’t just leave you tired—it changes the hormones that control hunger, cravings and recovery.

Research shows that too little sleep can:

😴 Increase ghrelin (you feel hungrier)

😴 Reduce leptin (you feel less satisfied)

😴 Increase cortisol (your stress hormone)

😴 Reduce insulin sensitivity

😴 Increase cravings for sugary, high-fat foods

😴 Slow recovery from exercise

In fact, studies suggest that when people diet while sleep deprived, they lose more muscle and less body fat than those who get enough quality sleep.

🌙 Want to improve your sleep naturally?

🥣 Eat a protein-rich evening snack like cottage cheese or casein protein.

🍌 Add a banana for magnesium, potassium and a little tryptophan.

💪 Keep resistance training to maintain muscle and support your metabolism.

🌅 Get morning daylight, limit screens before bed and stick to a regular bedtime.

I also stock:

⭐ ICON Hibernate (£35)
⭐ Free Soul 4-in-1 Magnesium (£15)
⭐ Ashwagandha (£10)

These aren’t magic fixes, but alongside good nutrition, regular exercise and healthy sleep habits, they can be useful tools to support recovery and sleep quality.

Remember… fat loss doesn’t just happen in the gym.

Some of your best progress happens while you’re asleep. 😴💙
