Our members have been getting involved with vehicle maintenance tasks, from giving the vehicle a good clean to helping with refuelling.

These everyday activities are a great way to develop practical skills, work together as a team and take pride in looking after the things that support our daily activities.

📣 We're recruiting – Facilities Manager! 📣

Could you be the person who keeps our sites and facilities the best they can be?

We're looking for a full-time Facilities Manager, Monday to Friday, to join our friendly team and oversee our buildings, sites and facilities. The role also includes managing our fleet of vehicles, helping to make sure everything is safe, well maintained and ready for our members and teams to use.

You'll report directly to our Chief Executive and work alongside our members and senior management team.

If you're a 'people-person' with great communication skills and would like to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Making Summer Memories - on the water ⛵☀

Bailey has been enjoying time out on the water through Sailability in Seaford.

Sailing is a fantastic experience, offering the chance to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and experience the freedom of being on the water. Our members love it. 💛

💛 A fantastic achievement! 💛

George has recently taken on a brilliant challenge, completing a sponsored walk across the South Downs and raising an incredible £1,250 for Robertsbridge Heritage Railway. 🚂

He has been volunteering with the railway team for around a year, and it's wonderful to see the impact he has made and his commitment recognised with a certificate and a personal thank you letter.

George's time, enthusiasm and contribution have clearly made a real difference to the team, and we're so pleased to see his efforts celebrated in this way. 🎉

A huge well done for taking on the challenge and raising such a fantastic amount George. We know this is a cause that means so much to you. 👏👏👏

Making Summer Memories - and friends with goats! 🐐☀

Aimee recently enjoyed a visit to a local goat sanctuary, where she loved spending time getting to know some very friendly faces.

Whether it's meeting animals, sharing new sensory experiences or simply enjoying a nice day out, moments like these create lasting memories.

We think it's safe to say Aimee made a few new friends and the goats were very happy to see her 💛

They love how uniquely accessible our space is, and the Changing Places Toilet truly makes life easier for them.

🌸 Still looking beautiful at Friary Gardeners 🌸

These lovely pink echinaceas caught our eye this week, and they're just one of the many plants still looking their best at Friary Gardeners.

Grown and cared for by our members throughout the season, there's still a lovely selection waiting to brighten gardens of all shapes and sizes.

If you've not visited us for a while, why not pop in and see what's in bloom? Whether you're looking for a little inspiration or simply fancy a browse, we'd love to welcome you.

Healthy choices, made independently 🥕🥒💛

Co-op members have been busy in the kitchen preparing healthy snacks and Louise was really pleased with her colourful platter. "I made a tomato salsa, with peppers, cucumber and pitta bread as part of my goals. In the next block, I'm doing kitchen time again to work with the scales. Ella is going to help me".

Kitchen sessions are a great opportunity to develop practical cooking skills, make healthy food choices and build confidence.

It looks delicious too Louise! 😃

📢 Advance Notice – Friary Gardeners Closure 🌿

We wanted to let our customers know that Friary Gardeners will be closed to the public on Friday 28th August as we host our annual members' picnic.

Our annual picnic is a chance for members from across Parchment Trust to come together, celebrate another year of achievements and enjoy time with friends.

We'll re-open as usual after the Bank Holiday on Tuesday 1st September. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you in the meantime 💛

A recent trip to the zoo brought plenty of smiles for Greg, especially when it was time to visit the elephants! 💛

Days out like these are a great opportunity to explore new places, enjoy different experiences and have fun.
