We’re proud to share that Anchor - Kimberley Court Care Home in Newquay has been praised by the Care Quality Commission following its latest inspection, receiving a *Good* rating.

The report highlighted the kindness and dedication of colleagues, alongside the person-centred care and support provided to residents every day.

This recognition reflects the hard work of the whole team at Kimberley Court and their commitment to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for residents and their loved ones 💜

As we experience a spell of warm weather, Asa Johnson, Service Improvement Manager at Anchor, shares some simple tips to help older people stay safe and comfortable during a heatwave ☀️

Asa’s advice includes:

• Wearing light, suitable clothing, along with a hat and sunglasses outdoors
• Seeking shade and applying sunscreen when spending time outside
• Keeping curtains and blinds closed in rooms exposed to direct sunlight
• Staying hydrated with cold drinks and cool treats such as ice cream, lollies, frozen smoothies or yoghurt

John will be watching the game between Middlesbrough FC and Hull tomorrow at a play-off party at Anchor - Skelton Court ⚽️

Skelton Court have the pleasure of having John Robinson in our care, John played football for Middlesbrough Football Club, his first match was against Arsenal on Saturday 24th April 1954 ⚽️ John will be Celebrating the Boro going to Wembley with a few shandies 😀UTB

Competitions after competitions this week. Our home participated in a Christmas’s cake competition just like last year. We didn’t win a prize this year but we spent a great afternoon together by designing and decorating our beautiful Christmas cake. 💜 Anchor - Bethune Court
