Congratulations to my friend Christine Collison, whose Dementia Help website has won the 2026 Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Award for Care Support Organisation of the Year.

Christine launched Dementia Help in 2017 after caring for her late mother, Hazel, who lived with vascular dementia for almost a decade. Drawing on that experience, she created a wonderfully supportive resource for people caring for loved ones with dementia.

If you know someone caring for a person with dementia, it's well worth a look. Huge congratulations, Christine – a thoroughly deserved award. ❤️

Who's excited about Wimbledon? 🎾

My client, Celia, is an avid tennis fan and will be absolutely thrilled that Arthur Fery is through to the semi-finals!

Last Friday I had to vacuum around her chair while she was watching a match (she even turned the subtitles on so she didn't miss a thing!). I love seeing how engaged she is—keeping up with the sport she loves keeps her mind active and gives us plenty to chat about.

Perhaps my favourite thing to do as a Good Life Sorter helper is hanging out the washing on a day when it's warm and breezy and you can get it in and fold it by the time you have to go!

A busy bee and a happy client...

Mrs W isn't able to get out into the garden as often as she'd like, so I love bringing a little bit of nature to her. This bee busily exploring the snapdragon flowers gave us both something to smile about.

One baby cygnet hitching a ride with mum and two others following along with dad! A friend and I caught this lovely sight as we headed to Hatton Locks Cafe today, starting early to avoid the heat. We cycled, but the cafe, with is quirky decor, is also accessible by car, and it's a lovely place to sit alongside the water and enjoy a cooked breakfast, tea and cake, or even a roast dinner on colder days!
